‘The Princess Bride’ joins the Disney+ streaming library

Just as Disney+ subscribers wish, this fantasy film joins this streaming platform on May 1, 2020. Originally released during 1987, The Princess Bride is based on the William Goldman novel of the same name.

The Princess Bride tells the story of one young woman who meets her true love. The journey which ensues takes viewers on an adventure through a magical forest to battle the forces of evil. It’s totally romantic, a little funny, and a super heartwarming film that’ll have you believe true love does exist.

Disney’s ‘Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides’ debuts on Disney+ during May 2020

As a fourth movie released in the Pirates of the Caribbean story, this film features Jack Sparrow and a few new faces, including the character Angelica. There’s plenty of action, adventure, and a new quest of Jack Sparrow and Barbossa to find the fountain of youth.

The movie, Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, premieres on Disney+ May 1, 2020. A few other movies in the Pirates of the Caribean franchise are already available on this streaming platform. That includes The Curse of the Black Pearl, Dead Man’s Chest, and Dead Men Tell No Tales.

‘Maleficent: Mistress of Evil’ will be available on Disney+

Perhaps one of the newest movies joining Disney’s streaming platform, Maleficent: Mistress of Evil was released in theaters during fall 2019. As the sequel to Maleficent, this movie tells the origin story of the witch from Disney’s original animated movie, Sleeping Beauty. Turns out, she had a pretty complicated relationship with Aurora.

Maleficent: Mistress of Evil stars Angelina Jolie and joins Disney’s streaming platform on May 15. Until then, subscribers can watch the first Maleficent movie, in addition to the original Sleeping Beauty.
