Do Beyoncé and Jay-Z Have Nannies for Their Kids?
In 2017, the Knowles-Carter bunch became a family of five after Beyoncé and Jay-Z welcomed their twins, Sir and Rumi.
Though the pair laid low for a while after the birth of their little ones, they were back to work a year later with Beyoncé headlining Coachella and both recording their collaborative album Everything Is Love, which was released that same year. So who did they do it? Does the couple have a nanny?
Beyoncé and Jay-Z make their kids a priority
Since becoming parents, Beyoncé and Jay-Z have made spending quality time with their little ones a priority.
Though that might sound hard to do when you’re a mega superstar and are constantly traveling the world for work, Bey and Jay make sure that they carve out time to spend with their kids three kids — Blue Ivy, 8, Rumi and Sir, 3 — even if that means taking the children along with them.
While the couple rarely gives insight into their family life, Beyoncé did reveal to Vogue in 2013 that she makes as much time as she can for her daughter, Blue Ivy.
“You know, my mother and I are so close, and I always prayed that I would have that type of relationship with my daughter. And she’s still a baby, but the connection I had with her when I was giving birth was something that I’ve never felt before,” the “Halo” songstress said. “She’s [Blue Ivy] my road dog. She’s my homey, my best friend.”
And Beyoncé wasn’t lying when she said Blue Ivy’s her “road dog.” Over the years, the oldest Carter child has joined her parents at concerts, awards shows, sporting events, etc. all around the world.
Though Bey and Jay are usually working when they travel, work obligations have never gotten in the way of them spending quality time with Blue Ivy, Sir, and Rumi.
Reports have said Beyoncé and Jay-Z hired six nannies to help them out
Following the birth of their twins Sir and Rumi, it was reported that Beyoncé and Jay-Z hired six nannies to care to the newborns’ every needs, 24 hours a day.
‘The twins don’t sleep at the same time, so [Beyoncé] decided she needed three per child, working in eight-hour shifts,’ a source told The Daily Mail.
The insider also reported that the couple hired two additional nannies for Blue Ivy, who was five-years-old at the time.
But wait, there’s more.
Beyoncé and Jay-Z’s nannies were reportedly paid $100,000 a year to take care of the heirs to the Carter throne. Clearly, being a nanny for a Hollywood celebrity is where the big bucks are at nowadays.
Still, the couple does everything with their three little ones
Although Beyoncé and Jay-Z have nannies helping them raise their kids, they’re not the type of parents who leave their little ones in the care of others for days on end.
Instead, the pair take their kids everywhere with them and even bring their nannies along just in case they need a little extra help on the road.
“Jay-Z and Beyonce have nannies for the kids and their assistants help out too, but they mostly try and bring the kids everywhere,” a source told Us Weekly in 2019. “Blue always travels with Beyoncé and comes with her when she’s working. The twins are getting older and Beyoncé has been taking them out a little more too. … They’re a very tight-knit family and like to do everything together.”
