Do Kim and Kourtney Kardashian Hate Each Other?
If there is one thing we know about the KarJenner clan after more than a decade of Keeping Up with the Kardashians, it’s that they value loyalty over everything. When one member of the reality family is going through a difficult time — we can expect everyone from Kourtney Kardashian’s ex, Scott Disick to matriarch Kris Jenner to chime in. (We all recall what happened when Kylie’s former bestie, Jordyn Woods, was caught locking lips with Tristan Thompson.) However, two members of the KarJenner clan constantly seem to be at odds.
Though they’ve had their share of spats since stepping into the public eye–Kim and Kourtney Kardashian’s relationship has become increasingly more volatile, leading to explosive moments in the more recent seasons of KUWTK. But do the eldest KarJenners hate each other?
Kim and Kourtney Kardashian have always had a contentious relationship
During the early years of KUWTK, we watched Kim and Kourtney fight over petty things like wearing each others’ handbags and clothes without asking. Since they are less than two years apart, their sibling rivalry has been nearly 40 years in the making. Unfortunately, in recent years they’ve begun fighting dirty.
Kourtney often calls Kim a porn star, referencing her leaked sex tape, while Kim has called her big sis a “f*kin’ fake humanitarian hoe” and “the least interesting to look at.” Though this seems alarming to many of us — even those who have siblings — this is nothing new for Kourt or Kim. An insider explained to Hollywood Life, “They’ve always been the ones in the family that fight the most. It’s been that way since they were very young. They love hard and fight just as hard.”
Kim and Kourtney fought over their daughters’ birthday party
One of the biggest things that puts Kim and Kourtney at each other’s throats is their lifestyle differences. While Kourtney assumes more of a stay-at-home mom approach with her children, with her Poosh brand and taping KUWTK as her main sources of income — Kim is a full-time businesswoman and mogul. With four children, Kim is balancing KKW Beauty, KKW Fragrance, Skims, and her work as a criminal justice activist.
Since they approach their lives (and parenting styles) so differently, their respective tempers seem to boil over the smallest things. While planning their daughters Penelope and North’s joint Candy-Land themed birthday party, Kim and Kourt got into it once again.
Kourtney tried to veto candy at the party calling it “disgusting and filled with chemicals.” However, Kim wasn’t having it. She clapped back saying, “It’s a Candy Land-themed party! Yes, that’s, like, what the party is about, Candy Land. It’s not f*cking Gluten Free Land over here.” Since then, the ladies have fought over everything from style to have different opinions on work ethic.
Kris Jenner wants the fighting to stop
Though the KarJenner family is used to the antics between Kim and Kourtney, things have escalated recently, and their mom, Kris Jenner, wants it to stop immediately. An insider explained to Hollywood Life,
When things get ugly, Kris forces them to talk it out. She works very hard to play peacemaker when her girls fight because she knows how important it is that they stick together. If they don’t have each other they have nothing. One of Kris’ biggest fears is that they’ll get into some sort of ugly family feud. She knows it could tear them apart.
For now, Kris seems content on making sure her daughters fight fair –especially Kim. In a recent episode of KUWTK, she pulled the KKW Beauty mogul to the side and said, “As much as I love you, you fight a lot dirtier than you used to fight.”
Let’s just hope that Kim and Kourtney’s relationship gets on a calmer and steadier ground soon.
