Does Andy Cohen Think Kate Chastain From ‘Below Deck’ Will Return to Bravo?
Viewers were shocked and many saddened when Kate Chastain from Below Deck said she was leaving the show.
Chastain made the announcement on Instagram immediately after the second part of the reunion aired. She wrote, “After many months of reflection and internal discussions, I have chosen to make a transition this year in starting to carve out a progressive new land based role. I intend to step back as a senior member of the Below Deck Family and work to become financially independent while continuing to fully support His Majesty Andy Cohen.”
Many people wished her well and also wondered if they might see Chastain again on Bravo in the future. Podcast host Danny Pellegrino took an opportunity to ask Cohen about the likelihood of Chastain returning while adding other questions about additional Bravo shows. Pellegrino was the bartender on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen and he put Cohen in the hot seat during the After Show.
Cohen hopes Chastain will return to Bravo
Pellegrino asked Cohen a whole host of questions about a slew of Bravo shows including Below Deck. “What’s going on with Kate from Below Deck is she going to be doing something,” Pellegrino asked during the Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen After Show.
Cohen said, “I hope she’ll be … You will see her on Bravo some more, yes.” During the reunion, Cohen remarked how Chastain looked like a New York City Housewife. The Real Housewives of New York City is one of Chastain’s favorite franchises too. In the past, she’s dished about the show with Pellegrino on his Everything Iconic with Danny Pellegrino podcast.
“Sonja [Morgan], I just love her,” Chastain said. “She’s a comedic genius.” Adding that she’s met Ramona Singer and that “she was just like she is on TV.”
What about Bethenny Frankel?
Cohen didn’t seem to be as certain about the prospect that Bethenny Frankel from RHONY would return. While Cohen hopes Frankel will return he says he still feels lucky she returned a second time. “I was so sad when she left this time around. But I was so grateful that we got three or four new seasons out of her. So, I hope so but I don’t know.”
Pellegrino kept going, asking the questions most fans want to know. “Southern Charm, they’re coming back right,” Pellegrino asked. “Yes! Absolutely, big hit show,” Cohen responded. Pellegrino also wanted to know about the upcoming season of The Real Housewives of Potomac. “It’s unbelievable, great personal story and a lot of drama within the group that will surprise you,” Cohen dished.
What about the Vanderpump Rules new cast? Will every new cast member attend the reunion? “There’s gonna be like 50,” Cohen joked. Tom Sandoval from Vanderpump Rules was a guest and added, “Yeah, 47.” A few viewers have expressed that they aren’t feeling the new cast members. “Please stop showing us this painfully awkward Max and Dayna relationship I BEG !!! ” one person tweeted.
