Law first made a splash in the film industry when he was just 22 years old. He appeared in the movie Shopping (1994) before becoming a bigger star with the film Wilde (1997). From then on, he cemented himself as an A-list actor with appearances in popular movies such as Gattaca (1997), A.I. Artificial Intelligence (2001), The Holiday (2006), Sherlock Holmes (2009), Contagion (2011), and Anna Karenina (2012).

In 1997, Law married actress Sadie Frost — whom he met while filming the movie Shopping. They have three children together: Rafferty (b. 1996), Iris (b. 2000), and Rudy (b. 2002). Both Rafferty and Iris are models. Meanwhile, Rudy has landed a few acting roles and seems to be following in his parents’ footsteps.
In 2003, however, Law and Frost divorced. He went on to date Sienna Miller, though the two broke up in 2006 after a cheating scandal. They did not have any kids together.
Law had a short relationship with model Samantha Burke in 2008, which resulted in the birth of his fourth child — a daughter named Sophia (b. 2009).

He once shared with Express.co.uk: “You know, if you’d told me earlier that I was going to have five children, I would have initially gone ‘No way’. But then I’d have laughed and embraced it. I mean, basically I have now got a five-a-side football team. And I might even end up with a seven-a-side team one day, so we’ll see.”
Law is currently married to psychologist Phillipa Coan. The two of them started dating some time in 2015 before tying the knot in April 2019. Law’s oldest son, Rafferty, was reportedly the best man at the wedding.
Law once said that he is “very, very happy” with Coan. “Our relationship is a very private thing, and I think part of the fact it works so well is exactly because of that,” he shared.
He has also revealed that, as a man in his 40’s, he has become more wiser than in the past. “Life is about learning lessons,” he said to Express.co.uk. “It’s about making mistakes, and then looking at them and absorbing them and not repeating them and steering yourself into happier, more serene territory… I don’t regret anything and I wouldn’t change anything because each twist and turn and up and down has led me to where I am now.”
