Does Kelly Ripa Have Any Siblings?
Kelly Ripa is America’s sweetheart. The wife, mother of three, and co-host of Live With Kelly and Ryan lives an open book life. There’s little the All My Children actress won’t reveal, and we love her for it.
Every now and then, Ripa tells the story of her parents’ long and successful marriage. She and her husband, Mark Consuelos, modeled their own marriage after the pair. That said, is Ripa and only child or did she share the spotlight with a sibling growing up?

If you’ve ever watched a single episode of Live With Kelly and Ryan, chances are, you’ve heard her mention her parents, Joseph and Esther Ripa. The couple married in1962. They set the example for which Ripa and Consuelos would follow in their own multi-decade marriage.
Joseph served in the US Army and worked as a bus driver before becoming the vice president of his union. He later served as a country freeholder from 2004-2009. The New Jersey native became county clerk for Camden County (aka Ripa’s old stomping grounds) in 2009.
Earlier this year, Ripa posted a birthday tribute to her mother, Esther. She shared a few photos from the decades, including Esther and Joseph’s wedding photo and a shot of Esther, Ripa, and her daughter, Lola to celebrate three generations.
“Happy birthday mom! Even though you don’t have Instagram, this public declaration makes it possible for other people to tell you how much I love you!” Ripa wrote on Instagram.
That said, some fans wonder if Ripa was born an only child, or if she has siblings outside of the limelight.
Ripa has one sister, Linda
Ripa doesn’t reference Linda much. Maybe this Ripa sister doesn’t want to be referenced on-air. Finding information on Linda Ripa is similar to stumbling onto evidence of the Bermuda Triangle.
This Ripa sister prefers to keep a low-profile. Her Twitter bio lists her work via Expressions Modeling and Talent, New Media Productions, Philly 57, CN8, and ABC’s Across America.
Various outlets report her as the younger Ripa, the consensus seems to be that she’s two years older. Linda is a children’s book author and illustrator. Among her work is the 2002 picture book, The Ladybug Blues.
Linda has one son, Sergio-Giuseppe, who appears to be a guitarist for the band, Elson Blanch. It’s unclear if Linda is married.
Linda Ripa suffered traumatic injuries in a 1999 car accident
When 7 months pregnant, Linda endured a horrific car accident. The event left her with a broken pelvis and multiple other broken bones. Her unborn son, Sergio-Giuseppe, was born seven weeks premature. He went into a coma.
For weeks, Linda and Sergio-Giuseppe fought for their lives. After four weeks, Sergio-Giuseppe woke up. In 2001, just two years after the accident, [Kelly] Ripa said Sergio-Giuseppe and Linda both were in the care of [Kelly’s] parents.
“They are older and raising their grandchild. My mother is a 24-hour-a-day nurse to my sister,” she said, adding that Linda’s injuries were life-altering.
She concluded, “She will never, ever know a normal life again. And there’s nothing they can do.
Despite the accident, Linda and Sergio-Giuseppe have a loving and supportive family.
