Dolly Parton is a singer, songwriter, actor, author, and one of the most famous people on the planet. And now she’s making an offer to one of the most famous families in the world.

The Queen of Country wants to make up for when she was unable to meet with the Princess of Wales (formerly known as Kate Middleton) last year for tea and now has an offer for Kate, Prince William, and their three children.

Here’s more on that and what the “9 to 5” artist is hoping she can get Kate to try.

In 2023, when Parton was touring in London, the Princess of Wales invited her to her home to have tea together. However, the country music superstar couldn’t make it as she was fully booked while in town to promote her album Rockstar. Therefore, Parton had to politely decline but shared how flattered she was by the invitation.

“I thought it was very sweet and nice of [Kate] to invite me and one of these days I’m going to get to do that — that would be great,” Parton told BBC radio (per Daily Mail).

Now, Parton has extended an invitation to Kate as well as William and their children to visit her Dollywood theme park in Tennessee.

“Oh, I would absolutely love for them to come to Dollywood, that would be fantastic!” Parton gushed to Closer Magazine.” The kids could go on all the rides and we would treat them like royalty.”

The “Jolene” songbird added that she wants the princess to try some of her food.

“I’d give Kate my mashed potatoes,” Dolly exclaimed, as she continued to talk about the possibility of having the family at her park, saying: “I wouldn’t put on any airs for them. I would just let them enjoy what we enjoy, and I’m sure that’s the way they would want it. I would love to have those kids at Dollywood.”

Parton’s sister isn’t a fan of the royal family and sided with Prince Harry and Meghan

While Parton is hoping to get together with the Waleses soon, not everyone in her family is a fan of the royals.

After Meghan Markle and Prince Harry stepped down as working royals and moved to America Parton’s sister, Stella, threw her support behind the Sussexes and commended the duke for leaving the U.K. and restraints of the monarchy.

“I don’t blame Harry for manning up and getting his family away from that toxic waste heap,” Stella said.

She then opined that those who attended the couple’s wedding were “jealous” of Meghan saying: “When those kids walked into that church everyone was jealous and treated Harry and his gorgeous, talented, brilliant wife like outcasts. I smell jealousy a mile away.”
