During an interview with Billboard, Parton discusses her recent Super Bowl ad, her Rock & Roll Hall of Fame nomination, and her upcoming hosting gig. Parton says she jumped at the chance to work with her goddaughter, Miley Cyrus, because she would “do anything” for the “Wrecking Ball” singer.

“T-Mobile contacted me to see if I wanted to do a commercial for the Super Bowl,” Parton tells Billboard. “That’s the commercial to do all year if you’re going to do one. They had Miley and me in mind for it. I’ll do anything with and for Miley, and she said the same thing. She’s like my fairy goddaughter. I love the concept and it was a cute video.”

Dolly Parton reveals the ‘most fun’ she’s had

Parton tells Billboard she had “the most” fun while hosting the Country Music Awards with Carrie Underwood and Reba McEntire. The publication asked her how she feels about hosting this year’s Country Music Awards.

“I’m real excited about [hosting this year’s Country Music Awards] because I get to work with some of the newer country artists as well,” says Parton. “But I’m just glad to get to host it, because I’m promoting my Run, Rose, Run novel with James Patterson, and I have an album with that. I’m going to get to sing ‘Big Dreams and Faded Jeans,’ a song from that.

Parton goes on to say she likes hosting and she had a great time working alongside Underwood and McEntire. “I enjoy hosting,” says Parton. “I think I’m okay with that. I love the crowd and have always enjoyed it. When I co-hosted with Reba and my other girl Carrie a couple of years ago, that was the most fun I’ve had.”

She wrote the book alongside author James Patterson. In addition, Parton partnered with Duncan Hines on a line of limited-edition cake mixes and frostings.

“I have always loved to cook and, growing up in the South, I especially love that authentic Mom and Pop kind of cooking,” says Parton in a statement. “I am excited to launch my own line of cake mixes and frostings with Duncan Hines, bringing that sweet, Southern-style baking experience I enjoy to others.”
