Former United States President Donald Trump isn’t shy about sharing his opinions. And in a recent interview with UK-based television host Piers Morgan, Trump criticized Prince Harry and Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, and suggested Queen Elizabeth II should have stripped away their royal titles

Donald Trump suggests Prince Harry and Meghan Markle be stripped of their royal titles

Ever since the Duke and Duchess of Sussex left the royal family and moved to LA, people have been chiming in on the couple’s privilege and status. And in a chat with his good friend Morgan — winner of Celebrity Apprentice Season 7 — Trump suggested he would have taken Harry and Megan’s titles away if he was the British monarch.

“I would,” the former president and reality star said. “The only thing I disagree with the Queen on probably one of the only things ever is that I think she would have said, ‘If that’s your choice, fine. But you no longer have titles, and frankly don’t come around.'”

The former president also admitted he doesn’t like Meghan Markle

In his interview with Morgan, Trump also criticized Harry for turning away from his position and family. And he suggested that he never quite liked Meghan.

“He has been so disrespectful to the country and I think he’s an embarrassment,” Trump said. “Harry is whipped, do you know the expression?”

“I won’t use the full expression, but Harry is whipped like no person I think I’ve ever seen,” he continued. “I’m not a fan of Meghan, I’m not a fan, and I wasn’t right from the beginning. I think poor Harry is being led around by his nose.”

This isn’t the first time Trump has expressed his displeasure with Meghan. During a 2020 press briefing, he made a remark about the Duchess when a reporter asked about the couple’s endorsement of President Joe Biden.

“I’m not a fan of hers,” Trump said. “And I would say this — and she probably has heard that — but, I wish a lot of luck to Harry, because he’s going to need it.”

Trump was critical of Harry and Megan’s choice to leave the royal family. But he also chimed in on their marriage and theorized a few different ways it could end.

“I want to know what’s going to happen when Harry decides he’s had enough of being bossed around,” Trump wondered. “Or maybe when [Meghan] decides that she likes some other guy better. I want to know what’s going to happen when it ends.”

“I do [believe their marriage will end],” he suggested. “I’ve been a very good predictor, as you know. I predicted almost everything. It’ll end and it’ll end bad.”

Trump also speculated a scenario in which Harry would leave Meghan and regret his decision to leave his royal position. “I wonder if Harry’s gonna go back on his hands and knees, back into the beautiful city of London, and say, ‘Please,'” he deliberated. “I think Harry has been led down a path.”
