Donald Trump Wishes Prince Harry ‘Luck’ With Meghan Markle
With all the issues that are occurring in the world, everyone has an opinion, and most people are not hesitant to make that opinion known.
As we know, Prince Harry and Meghan, Duchess of Sussex have been concentrating on their new journey independent of the royal family. Now that they are no longer tied to the rules and protocol that comes along with being part of the British Monarchy, they are free to talk about politics, something that was off-limits for them just a year ago. Meghan is still an American citizen, and she has always been adamant about making her voice heard regarding issues that are important to her.
With the upcoming presidential election, the duchess has been concentrating on encouraging people to vote, stressing the importance of how every vote matters. Naturally, Harry has been sticking by her side, and there has even been talk about the former actor someday running for President of the United States. Now, President Donald Trump has garnered quite a bit of attention after wishing Prince Harry “luck” with Meghan Markle.
Meghan and Harry have been extremely outspoken regarding various social justice issues
Harry and Meghan may no longer be senior working royals, but that certainly doesn’t mean that they have been keeping quiet. The couple has been keeping in touch with the public through virtual appearances, and they haven’t hesitated to talk about the social justice issues that they believe in. Meghan, in particular, has been actively talking about the upcoming election, and both of them have recently spoken about hate speech and their feelings regarding the issue.
In fact, the duke and duchess recently made a video where Harry said that “This election I am not able to vote in the US. But many of you may not know that I haven’t been able to vote in the UK my entire life. As we approach this November, it’s vital that we reject hate speech, misinformation, and online negativity,” according to The Guardian.
Meghan seemingly endorsed Joe Biden
It will be another couple of months before the residents of the United States find out if Donald Trump will sit in the Oval Office for another four years, or if his rival, Joe Biden, will take over as the nation’s leader. All those in the country who are registered to vote, have the freedom to decide just who they would like to elect, and Meghan Markle subtly suggested who she endorses.
After the couple spoke out about their beliefs and their support for Biden, Trump didn’t exactly take kindly to what they said. He actually got quite angry at the couple and didn’t hesitate to hide his feelings. What did Meghan say that Trump took offense to? The duchess told viewers that this election was “the most important,” seemingly implying that she supports a change in leadership.
Donald Trump wishes Prince Harry ‘luck’ with Meghan Markle
While Meghan and Harry have a huge fan base, it would appear as if Trump isn’t a part of it. After the couple recently spoke about the upcoming election, the president went so far as to wish the prince “luck” with his wife, stressing that he was “going to need it,” reports The Hill. After being asked how he felt about Meghan and Harry’s comments, Trump said that he is “not a fan” of Meghan’s, implying to everyone who was listening that he was not happy that the duke and duchess seem to be in support of his opponent.
