‘Double Shot at Love’: These Roommates Won’t Be Back for Season 3
Pauly DelVecchio and Vinny Guadagnino will return “later this year” with another season of Double Shot at Love. Fans of the MTV reality series are excited to see what’s in store for season 3.
But many are also curious about which roommates will return from season 2. At this time, it looks like three Double Shot at Love stars are out of the running for a spot in season 3.
‘Double Shot at Love’ Season 3 will premiere ‘later this year’
DJ Pauly D and Guadagnino shared the exciting news with fans on Apr. 13, 2021. “Yesssir Let’s GoOo @MTVShotAtLove SEASON 3 We Are Back!!!!!” DelVecchio tweeted.
Things will be a bit different in season 3. Since DelVecchio is in a relationship with Double Shot at Love star Nikki Hall, season 3 will be all about finding Guadagnino a woman.
“DJ Pauly D and Vinny will be back to find the perfect match for the latter,” MTV wrote. “You know what they say: Third time’s a charm!”
With help from DelVecchio and Hall, Guadagnino will go through the process of “finding his own happiness.” Their “insider’s perspective” will help him see the potential of finding a partner on a reality dating show.
At this time, the exact release date for Double Shot at Love Season 3 is unclear. However, MTV says it will premiere “later this year.”
Some fans think Maria Elizondo will be back for season 3
Leave it to reality TV fans on Reddit to piece together who might return for Double Shot at Love Season 3. According to one fan, crews are filming season 3 at the Adero Resort in Scottsdale, Arizona. The website says the resort will “welcome guests starting May 14.”
That same fan also believes Maria Elizondo from seasons 1 and 2 is “already there” and going to be part of filming season 3. “Her IG story matches the room pics!” they said.
Since hearing the news about season 3, many fans have reached out to Elizondo on social media to see if she will be part of filming. One fan asked if the format was going to be the same as season 2 — the cast living and working with Guadagnino and DelVecchio.
“It is not,” Elizondo replied. “I am not [coming back] lol but nothing but all my love and support towards it.” Many fans aren’t buying Elizondo’s tweet.
“It’s literally where they’re filming so she can front all she wants about being in Cali,” a fan wrote on Reddit. “The pics from her story and the pics of the hotel rooms don’t lie! The chairs and lights are the same.”
Brandon Stakemann, Nicky Curd, and Antonio Locke likely won’t be part of ‘Double Shot at Love’ Season 3
While it’s not entirely off the table, the probability of season 2 stars Brandon Stakemann, Nicky Curd, and Antonio Locke returning for season 3 of Double Shot at Love is slim. Since this season is about Guadagnino finding love, many fans don’t expect to see the “Cugines” return.
“Why would they bring everyone else back for that, especially the guys?” a fan on Reddit questioned. This fan thinks the possibility of a Jersey Shore spinoff with the Double Shot at Love Season 2 cast is more likely to happen than them returning for season 3.
In a since-deleted post on Twitter, Stakemann said: “Hi so everyone asking if we will be on this season of @MTVShotAtLove we won’t. This is actually the first we are all hearing of it along with all of you. Weird flex I know, so that’s that. It was a fun ride.”
This, along with the posts Stakemann, Curd, and Locke have been liking on the platform, has many people thinking they’re upset about not being invited back. “It’s Vinny and Pauly’s franchise; everyone else [was] guests,” one fan commented.
