‘Double Shot at Love’: Nothing Is Going on Between Vinny Guadagnino and ‘Flirty Bottle Girl’
Vinny Guadagnino and Maria Elizondo finally slept with each other during season 2 of Double Shot at Love. Now, many fans believe Guadagnino and Elizondo could be a couple. But after seeing Guadagnino reunite with a Miami bottle girl from Jersey Shore: Family Vacation, some fans are starting to question who Guadagnino is really into.
Maria didn’t like ‘Flirty Bottle Girl’s presence
During episode 10, “Oh My God, What Did Pauly Say to Her?” all of the roommates went out to dinner in Miami. Having filmed in Miami for Jersey Shore: Family Vacation, Guadagnino was familiar with one of the bottle girls working at the restaurant, Olivia.
Having hooked up with Guadagnino recently, Elizondo didn’t take too kindly to the bottle girl’s presence at their dinner table.
Just when Elizondo thought she was rid of Olivia, she showed up at the bar the roommates went to after dinner. “Welcome, Olivia,” Elizondo said to cameras. “I missed you from like, 20 minutes ago.”
So as to claim her territory, Elizondo got Guadagnino’s attention by suggestively dancing with him. “It’s a sexy vibe, it’s Miami,” Elizondo explained to cameras. “Everything’s sexy, let’s get sexy. I’m going to get a little frisky in front of Olivia.”
Did producers ask Olivia to be on ‘Double Shot at Love?’
SallyAnn Salsano has worked with the Jersey Shore cast since the show’s inception. Most recently, her work consists of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation and Double Shot at Love.
After seeing the bottle girl from Jersey Shore: Family Vacation, some fans questioned whether or not producers had this planned from the beginning.
One fan asked Salsano directly on Twitter: “Did you invite Olivia?”
“Not a chance,” Salsano replied. “It’s times like this I say the reality gods are upon us.”
This isn’t the first time fans thought producers were involved in making a show more interesting. When Jersey Shore first premiered, fans thought there was a script.
“We don’t have a script,” Pauly DelVecchio told Bustle. “Never had a script for 10 years, not even a little bit. Not even a little bit.”
As Salsano pointed out on Twitter, the interaction between Guadagnino and Olivia was completely organic. It seems the “reality gods” were with MTV crews that night.
According to Olivia’s sister, she and Vinny Guadagnino are just friends
Given what has happened between Guadagnino and Elizondo this season, many fans believe they could be together in reality. That is until Olivia came back into the picture.
Some viewers thought the bottle girl was aggressively flirtatious with the MTV reality star. But regardless of how she came off on television, Olivia’s sister says nothing is going on between the two. She commented on a post from the Double Shot at Love Instagram account after the episode aired.
“My sister stole the spotlight LOL #sorrynotsorry #theyarejustfriends” she wrote.
Another Instagram user replied to her comment, writing: “Actually, Olivia left pissed off! Maria stoled the spotlight by grinding on Vinny!”
According to Olivia’s sister, that wasn’t the case. “Actually, she didn’t,” she commented back. “It was edited to look that way. She is and has always just been friends with Vinny.”
At this time, it appears Guadagnino is still enjoying the single life. Fans will have to tune in to Double Shot at Love to see how the rest of this season plays out.
