‘Doubling Down With the Derricos’: Deon Derrico Says He Wants to Have 100 Kids
Deon Derrico is just getting started. The star of TLC’s Doubling Down With the Derricos already had 14 kids – including multiple sets of multiples – with his wife Karen Derrico. Plus, they have at least one more on the way. But could there be even more Derrico babies in the future? Deon isn’t ruling it out, he said in the March 8 episode of his family’s reality show.

In the March 2 episode of Doubling Down With the Derricos, Karen revealed that she was pregnant again. That means the Derricos will soon be a family of 17. That’s assuming Karen has just one baby. But given her history of multiple births, she and Deon could soon be welcoming more than one bundle of joy.
While Karen is excited to be expecting another baby, she is also nervous. Her last pregnancy ended in a miscarriage, a loss chronicled on the previous season of the show. And it wasn’t her first experience with pregnancy loss. That’s left her with plenty of concerns.
“I’m going to continue to trust God that this is going to be OK,” she said. “But it’s just eating me up. I can hardly sleep at night. I’m just extremely stressed out. I just think I really am dealing with PTSD.”
Deon Derrico tells his mother he wants 100 children
Karen might have some anxiety about her current pregnancy, but Deon is looking forward to adding another child to their family. In a conversation with his mother GG during a family trip to South Carolina in the March 8 episode, the pair discussed his and Karen’s choice to have so many kids.
GG said she thinks her son and daughter-in-law should reconsider their decision to keep having babies. Deon disagreed.
“You’ve had your time to have all the children you wanted. You only wanted two,” he told his mother. “This is my time … you only had two. Well, I don’t just want two. I want a hundred.”
GG has concerns about Karen having another baby
But GG wasn’t having it. She told Deon she was worried about the effects another pregnancy could have on Karen’s health.
“I guess I think about Karen and her little body giving birth, giving birth, giving birth,” she said. “How much more can that little body take? When I think about her possibly having some kind of problem with pregnancy, it infuriates me.”
GG went on to suggest that neither Deon nor his wife was considering what would happen if something went wrong with Karen’s pregnancy and what that would mean for the children they already have.
Deon told his mom she wasn’t taking his feelings into consideration.
“I can’t even think of your feelings,” she replied. “I can’t.”
