Karen and Deon Derrico just said “I do” for the second time. The stars of TLC’s Doubling Down With the Derricos and their 14 kids recently visited Disney World for a little R&R. While in Florida, Deon organized a vow renewal so that he could give Karen the wedding of her dreams. The big day was a big success, and Karen recently shared some photos of her “fairytale” wedding on Instagram.

After the stress of Karen’s latest miscarriage, the Derrico family decided a vacation was exactly what they needed. They all headed to Florida in the April 12 episode of Doubling Down With the Derricos. But Karen had no idea that Deon was cooking up a special surprise for her.
“Karen and I never had a real wedding … we just got married at the courthouse,” Deon explained. “It’s always bothered both she and I. So this is my chance to do it right this time. I’m going to ask her to renew our vows … I want to give Karen her dream wedding.”

After Deon popped the question for a second time, wedding planning was in full swing. While Deon took the boys to visit the Star Wars attractions, Karen, her daughters, her mom, and her mother-in-law GG went dress shopping.
To her daughters, Karen looked just like a Disney princess. For Karen, the experience was pure magic. Though she and Deon have been together for 16 years, she’d always wanted a traditional wedding celebration.
“Words cannot describe exactly how I feel … I had definitely given up on having a fairytale wedding,” she shared.
Just a day after Deon proposed, Karen walked down the aisle. GG officiated at the ceremony, which had both bride and groom – and some of their kids – in tears.

After the special wedding episode of Doubling Down With the Derricos aired, Karen took to Instagram to share some additional photos from her big day. She gave a special shout-out to the Disney weddings team for making sure everything came together seamlessly.
“Thank you @disney Fairytale Weddings!! We were on a very tight schedule right after @deonderrico re-proposed and I really appreciate the late-night conversations with everyone that assisted me in all the decisions!” she wrote in another Instagram post. “If you are wondering where to get married or remarried… trust me… you got to have a fairytale wedding!”
