TLC stars Karen and Deon Derrico have divorced. 

The Doubling Down With the Derricos couple filed for divorce on June 4. Their marriage was officially dissolved two days later. TMZ was the first to report the news.

Karen and Deon married in 2005 and have 14 children, including multiple sets of multiples. Following their split, they will share custody of their 13 minor children: Derrick, 13; twins Dallas and Denver, 12; quintuplets Deonee, Daician, Daiten, Deniko and Dariz, 10; twins Diez and Dior, 6; and triplets Dawsyn, De’Aren and Dyver, 4. Their oldest child, daughter Darian, is over 18 and not covered by the custody agreement.

According to TMZ, Deon will pay $1,166 per month in child support. Karen will cover the cost of the kids’ health insurance. Karen will keep the last name Derrico.

Though Karen and Deon have ended their marriage, they remain committed to co-parenting their many children. 

“Together, we remain unified in the parenting of our 14 beautiful children — their well-being is our priority,” they said in a statement to People. “We thank everyone for their understanding and support as we move forward for the good of our family.” 

Evidence of Karen and Deon’s unity was on display in a celebratory Father’s Day post on social media. 

“Happy Fathers Day to the best father any 14 children can ask for!” Karen wrote on Instagram

“Awwww thank you,”​​ Deon replied.

On social media, stunned fans reacted to the news of the split. Many were worried about the well-being of the couple’s children. Deon addressed the concerns, saying that he and his ex-wife weren’t going to let their personal issues affect their kids.  

“You can clearly see through this video that our babies are happy!! And that’s because both Karen, and I remain committed to giving them a nurturing environment no matter what she and I personally have going on!!!! Our babies being loved, heard, and seen is what matters to them and it shows!!” he wrote in a comment on a Father’s Day Instagram post,

In another comment, Deon said the family’s reality show would continue despite the divorce.  

Karen and Deon have not commented on what led to their split. But the current season of Doubling Down With the Derricos has highlighted tensions in their marriage, particularly over their cramped and chaotic living situation. Deon has been renovating a larger, fixer-upper home for his family, but Karen has been frustrated by the project’s slow progress.  

Doubling Down With the Derricos airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET on TLC. Episodes also stream on Max.
