‘Dr. Pimple Popper’s Latest Back Cyst Contains Cheese-Like Pus That Looks Like ‘Egg Salad’
Dr. Pimple Popper, also known as Dr. Sandra Lee, is one of the internet’s most beloved personalities. The board-certified dermatologist first started uploading to YouTube in 2010, but it wasn’t until around 2015 that her internet presence really took off.
In short order, Lee became a hot topic in online communities, with her “pimple-popping” videos causing a lot of buzz. In 2018, Lee became the star of her very own TLC program, Dr. Pimple Popper. The show has done a lot to boost Lee’s online presence, but the celebrity dermatologist has never forgotten her YouTube fans, regularly uploading videos of extractions and treatments.
While most of her treatment videos have been described as “gross” or explicit, her fans can’t get enough of her content, and love it when she shares new videos of extractions and treatments. Recently, Lee uploaded a particularly memorable video, featuring not one, but two epidermoid back cysts that had pus described by Lee as resembling “egg salad.”
Dr. Pimple Popper recently treated two ‘cheesy’ cysts
Dr. Sandra Lee is no stranger to bizarre or outrageous cysts and pimples, and over the years, fans have seen the dermatologist treat a wide variety of skin-related issues. However, a recent video that Lee uploaded to YouTube might just break some records. The video features Lee treating a patient who came to her with two epidermoid back cysts. The patient had the cysts for years and was finally ready to get rid of them for good, with Lee’s help.
Epidermoid back cysts are formed when skin cells burrow and multiply underneath the skin, and while they aren’t usually painful, as Lee detailed, they grow steadily and have several unique signatures. Notably, the cysts that Lee popped on camera had pus inside them that the doctor said had cheesy insides that looked like “egg salad.” This is due to the skin cell buildup within the cysts.
How did Dr. Pimple Popper treat the two epidermoid cysts?
As part of her extraction video, Dr. Pimple Popper detailed the treatment for her patient with epidermoid cysts. First, Lee numbed the area around the cysts with a numbing solution, using a surgical blade to cut directly over the affected area. Lee extracted the first cyst by placing her gloved fingers on either side of the cyst and squeezing — and the video captured the moment that the pus squirted out of the cyst.
Lee then cleaned out the infected area by scooping out the remainder of the pus with tweezers, scissors, and a specialty extraction tool. As Lee detailed to her viewers, cleaning the entire cyst is important otherwise the cyst could come back with a vengeance, causing more pus to form. Finally, Lee stitched up the open wound and moved on to the next one. For the second cyst, Lee managed to extract the entire sac, which resembled, according to Lee, “a little garlic clove.” Dr. Pimple Popper did the same cleaning and stitching on the second cyst — but not before showing the cyst sac to her patient.
Fans love Dr. Pimple Popper’s gross-out web videos
Dr. Pimple Popper has always remained devoted to her online community, even though she has become quite popular over the years with television viewers. She clearly loves sharing her knowledge about skin conditions and all things dermatology — and she has even launched her own line of specialty skincare products, so that her fans can treat their skin with Lee-approved products at home.
