The latest season of the hit series premieres shortly before the 2025 season of Formula 1 racing gets underway with the Australian Grand Prix from March 14-16, 2025.
Expect ‘more drama and fun’ in ‘Drive to Survive’ Season 7
So, what can viewers expect in Drive to Survive Season 7? According to Tom Hutchings, an executive producer at Box to Box Films, the production company behind the series, there is a lot in store.
“We’re really excited for fans to watch the new season of Drive to Survive. The 2024 season was incredible both on and off the track, with the action well and truly underway before the first race in Bahrain. Expect more drama and fun from the paddock this season and a few surprises too,” Hutchings said (via Formula 1).
Like past seasons, there will be footage of teams and drivers behind the scenes. It will go far beyond champagne on the podium with a look at teams “bid[ding] for the hottest drivers on the market” as well as charting drivers through the “toughest race of the year” culminating in a “nail-biting finish right up to the last race.”
Netflix has yet to share specifics such as which teams and drivers the new season will follow. “More to come as the premiere draws closer, but for now, just get ready to enjoy the ride,” the streamer said (via Tudum).

While the drivers and teams might change from season to season and even race to race, one thing that has stayed consistent on Drive to Survive is the show’s episode total. Since debuting on Netflix in March 2019 with the series’ first season, Drive to Survive has stuck with a 10-episode format. So, barring any changes, it’s safe to expect the story of the 2024 season to be told over the course of 10 episodes.
