Newcomer “drivers license” singer Olivia Rodrigo has many musical inspirations. The star, who became known on Disney+‘s High School Musical: The Musical: The Series, became a global name in January 2021 due to her first single. After she released “deja vu,” her second track from the upcoming album Sour, she spoke in a new interview about a celebrity she would “marry.”

Olivia Rodrigo revealed that her celebrity crush is Pete Davidson

Rodrigo’s song “drivers license” was such a hit that even Saturday Night Live parodied it on Feb. 21. The young star revealed in an interview with Radio.com LIVE Check In about one of her celebrity crushes, and how she felt about SNL covering her song.

“Pete Davidson, who is my biggest celebrity crush, was singing it and compared me to Taylor Swift who is my idol,” the singer said. “It was just insane. It was on my 18th birthday too, so it was just a crazy day.”

But now, Rodrigo revealed there’s another performer who holds a place in her heart. And the revelation wasn’t about Davidson.

In a new interview, Olivia Rodrigo said she wants to marry Cardi B

After expressing in an Instagram Live her appreciation for Cardi B’s song “Get Up 10,” Rodrigo said in an Apple Music interview that she really loves the artist.

“I’m so in love with her, I want to marry her,” Rodrigo expressed, per Billboard. “One of the lyrics is like, ‘Real b*tch, only thing fake is boobs.’ And I was like, ‘Yes that’s the energy. I’m obsessed with her. I love Invasion of Privacy.”

After Rodrigo spoke about her love for Cardi, the rapper tweeted her mutual support for the singer on Twitter.

“This is so sweet,” she commented. “You doing so good for your age. Don’t let no toxic sh*t get to you and don’t let nobody restrict you from your voice.”

In response, Rodrigo quote-tweeted a heart and crying emoji.
