Duggar Family Critics Are Calling Out Josiah Duggar’s Wife, Lauren, for Editing Her Photo of Her Child
We’ve learned a lot about the Duggars over the years, and Lauren and Josiah Duggar are often the centers of attention now. The Counting On stars have a baby girl, Bella, whom they post about frequently to social media. But it hasn’t been an easy road for Lauren and Josiah. Lauren miscarried during her first pregnancy, and it affected her greatly.
After the miscarriage, it wasn’t too long before Lauren and Josiah were expecting again. And now that Bella is 6 months old, Lauren is sharing more photos of the little girl than ever before. Unfortunately, Duggar family critics are calling Lauren out for possibly photoshopping a photo of Bella.
Josiah Duggar’s wife, Lauren, discussed her miscarriage
Lauren discovered she was pregnant toward the end of 2018. Sadly, four months into the pregnancy, she and Josiah announced they miscarried the baby. While miscarriages are quite common early on in pregnancies, the young couple still talked about their deep sadness for losing the baby.
“A couple months ago, we found out that we were expecting, but suddenly thereafter, we lost our baby,” Us Weekly reports Lauren, who was just 19 at the time, shared. As for why she chose to speak out about losing her baby, Lauren explained that “nobody really talks about it,” and she wanted to remind other hopeful mothers who’ve lost babies that they’re not alone.
Josiah also expressed his deep sadness over the loss. “It really was a hard time for our family going through this right after we got married,” he said. “And all the dreams of getting to see our little one and hold it in our hands dashed before our eyes.”
Their ‘rainbow baby,’ Bella, is 6 months old now
After great sorrow comes joy, and such was the case for Lauren and Josiah. “We are so excited to announce that baby #2 is on the way!!!!” the couple announced to Instagram on May 20, 2019. “It’s hard to fully express just how grateful we are for God blessing us again with another precious gift! So, as we rejoice of the life of our second sweet baby, we also remember (balloon as symbolism) our other sweet baby, Asa, in heaven.”
Now, six months have passed since Bella’s birth. On May 8, 2020, Josiah and Lauren shared more photos of the baby on Instagram.
“Bella is 6 months! We can’t get over how fast this little girl is growing,” the couple captioned the photo. They then shared that Bella is “starting to crawl” and learning how to “explore the world on all fours. We love this little girl so much and are so grateful to God for her!”
Family critics think Lauren edited a rainbow into a photo of Bella
The photos Lauren and Josiah shared of Bella are sweet, but Duggar family critics are suspicious of the photo that shows a rainbow directly behind Bella. Reddit users think Lauren clearly photoshopped the image, as there’s no way the couple’s “rainbow baby” would actually have a rainbow behind her.
“Yeah if I remember right someone commented and pointed it out and she said she hadn’t noticed it before, apparently God decided to edit it in without telling her,” a Reddit user noted.
“It literally looks the like one of the basic rainbow effects every photo editing app gives you lmfao not everyone is as dumb as you Lauren,” yet another wrote.
“She really needs therapy,” another commented. “I had a miscarriage before my first was born. It was devastating when it happened, but you move through the grief and move on with your life. I feel like she thinks daily about her loss and this far out, she’s not coping appropriately with it.”
Despite all the speculation, we may never know if the rainbow behind Bella is authentic or photoshopped. But it seems critics have their minds made up!
