It’s official — there’s another Duggar who’s engaged! Justin Duggar briefly courted Claire Spivey, and he’s now preparing to tie the knot. While Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar are known for encouraging their kids to engage in quick courtships, Justin and Claire’s relationship stands as one of the briefest yet.

It looks like some Duggar family critics suspect Justin and Claire have actually been engaged for longer than it appears, too. Here’s what they’ve found.

Justin Duggar and Claire Spivey recently announced their engagement

Justin and Claire shared news of their courtship in September, and the engagement announcement came just two months later. As for when the big moment happened, it seems Justin decided to get down on one knee while celebrating his birthday with his wife-to-be in Texas.

“There is nothing comparable to finding the one you are meant to spend your life with,” Justin and Claire told Us Weekly on Nov. 16. “We know we have found that in each other. We cannot wait to be married and are looking forward to a life together of faith in Christ, love for one another and happiness!”

Justin has also said he knew Claire was “the one” since the very beginning. “God brought Claire in my life and I wasn’t really expecting it, but he brought her along right when I needed her,” he mentioned in a Counting On clip, per Us Weekly. “Ever since then, I just knew that she was the one.”

Duggar family critics think the couple’s been engaged for even longer

While Justin and Claire seemingly just broke the big news to the public, Duggar family critics suspect the couple’s actually been engaged for longer.

A Reddit user found a photo of Justin, Claire, and James Duggar all huddled together — and Justin and Claire appear to be wearing the same clothes in the photo that they wore for their engagement photoshoot. Not only that, but the photo was originally posted to Hilary Spivey’s (Claire’s mother) Instagram account a week prior to the engagement news.

“Justin and Claire have been engaged *at least* a week,” the Reddit user alleged. “These are the same clothes from the People engagement photoshoot.”

“I’m so sure that they’ve been ‘engaged’ for awhile,” another wrote. “They only waited until Justin turned 18 to announce to try to get around the child-groom perception.”

“They have probably been engaged for even longer and took pictures last week to announce once he turned 18,” yet another added. “We know that they don’t go public with a courtship unless marriage is a given.”

James Duggar also seems mighty close to the Spivey family

Tonight we are celebrating James Andrew on his 19th birthday! We are so thankful for the godly man James has become. He…

Critics Think Justin Duggar’s New Girlfriend Follows All the Other Duggars on Instagram Except Jill Duggar

While Justin is certainly close to Claire’s family, it seems James is also quite close. James is 19 years old, and there’s been plenty of rumors that suggest he could be the next Duggar in a courtship. Not only is he seen hanging out with the Spiveys, but also was rumored to be courting Lauren Caldwell, the sister of his sister-in-law, Kendra Duggar. However, Lauren recently announced her engagement to someone else.

Earlier in November, James also joined Instagram. While this doesn’t definitely mean he’s gearing up for a courtship, it could be a clue. Many of the Duggars joined Instagram shortly before announcing a courtship or marrying. Some others, however, have joined because they’re old enough to have their own social media accounts.

We’ll have to wait and see what goes on with James, as he’s certainly one of the more talked-about Duggar men when it comes to potential courtships. As for Justin and Claire congratulations are certainly in order no matter when they got engaged.
