Jill Dillard wasn’t a part of her older sister’s bridal party, which left Duggar family followers curious about the sibling’s current bond. Now, months after Jana Duggar wed Stephen Wissmann, followers are getting further confirmation that all is not well between Jill and Jana. Jill Dillard was not present for Jana’s bachelorette weekend in California, although most of the other ladies of the family were.

A new clue suggests Jill Dillard and Jana Duggar are not on speaking terms

Jana Duggar’s August 2024 wedding shocked family followers. She never announced her engagement and didn’t share events in the lead-up to the big day. Now, months after the big day, Jana is sharing videos of the months before her wedding, including her bachelorette party. A recent YouTube upload revealed who attended her bachelorette party and who did not.

Jana Duggar’s bachelorette getaway took place in California, where Jana and several family members enjoyed Santa Barbara and all the city has to offer. Mom, Michelle Duggar, was on hand to celebrate, as were Jessa Seewald, Joy-Anna Forsyth, Jinger Vuolo, and several minor Duggar daughters. Jana’s sister-in-law, Abbie Burnett, was also in attendance. While plenty of family members turned out for the getaway, Jill Dillard was suspiciously absent. Her lack of attendance is the latest hint that things between Jill and her older sister, Jana Duggar, aren’t great.

Jill Dillard was not included in Jana’s wedding party

Jill wasn’t at Jana’s bachelorette party, but there could be a good reason. It’s possible that the timing didn’t work out, or Jill was too busy with three kids to get away. It’s possible Jill bowed out of a girl’s weekend away on her own. Still, it feels purposeful. Her exclusion from Jana’s wedding party is far more inexplicable and, frankly, telling. While Jana had several of her sisters, including California-based Jinger Vuolo and the baby of the family, Josie Duggar, by her side on her wedding day, Jana didn’t opt to include Jill.

While a couple of other sisters were not bridesmaids, Jill’s exclusion feels purposeful. After all, Jana served as Jill’s maid of honor when she wed Derick Dillard a decade ago. If Jill opted to have Jana next to her on her big day, it’s safe to assume they were once close. Jana’s decision to exclude Jill from her wedding party suggests there must have been a significant rift.

Jill Dillard Comments on Jana Duggar Wedding Party Snub

Duggar family followers likely will never know if the sisters are feuding. Jill has been careful not to name any names when talking about her siblings and her relationships with them. Still, the mother of three has admitted she has frosty relationships with some of her siblings and warm ones with others. We get the sense that Jill and Jana have a rather cold and distant connection these days.
