Josh Duggar’s arrest and subsequent trial brought a lot of new information to light. Several former family friends and church members have stepped forward to reveal what was happening inside the Duggar family home. One family insider recently suggested Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar might not have been telling the whole truth about Josh and how they dealt with his teenage behavior when they discussed it with the media in 2015.

In 2015 a police report outlining sexual abuse inside the Duggar family home was published

The Duggar family rose to prominence on TLC in the early 2000s. Their image appeared squeaky clean when they first landed their reality TV show, 19 Kids and Counting. The carefully constructed facade came crashing down in 2015.

In 2015, In Touch published a police report that revealed Josh Duggar, the family’s eldest son, had sexually abused several of his sisters and a family friend. The police report was filed after a welfare tipline received two calls about the Duggar family.

TLC immediately canceled the family’s show amid pressure from sponsors, but the Duggars were not gone for long. The network rebranded and refocused the show. TLC canceled their second series, Counting On, after federal marshals arrested Josh on two child pornography charges in 2021. A jury found him guilty on both charges. Josh had not appeared on the reality show since 2015, but his wife, Anna Duggar, occasionally did.

A family insider claims Josh Duggar was sent away on more than one occasion

Family insider, Bowman Fedosky, first started speaking out about his experiences with the Duggar family on TikTok. He later took to Reddit to answer questions and most recently sat down for an interview with Distractify

In a lengthy interview, Fedosky revealed that he believes Jm Bob and Michelle sent Josh away from the Duggar home on at least three separate occasions. According to Fedosky, the family and their inner circle kept the details of Josh’s behavior secret, opting to say he was “struggling” each time he was removed from the family home. Fedosky did not reveal what exact behaviors or incidents provoked his departure each time.

Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar’s retelling of the events from the early 2000s appear to be markedly different than the recollection of those within the family’s social circle. When the couple appeared on television to discuss the sexual abuse inside their home, they downplayed the incidents. They also made it sound like what occurred was an isolated incident that was dealt with once.

Bobye Holt’s testimony at Josh Duggar’s trial aligns with Fedosky’s memories

Fedosky’s statements, both to Distractify and in a Reddit AMA, align with Bobye Holt’s testimony during Josh’s trial. Holt, a former friend of the Duggar family, took the stand to recount when and how she learned about Josh inappropriately touching his siblings.

Josh Duggar was romantically linked to Holt’s daughter at the time of the incidents. Shortly after, they ended their courtship, but the families still hoped that the duo would end up together. Bobye Holt testified that Josh Duggar stayed with them at their home for some time following the molestation incidents.

Josh went on to marry Anna Duggar in 2008. Josh and Anna courted for two years before tying the knot, according to the Duggars. Still, Duggar family critics largely believe there was no courtship. Followers theorize that Josh shocked the Keller family with his marriage proposal.
