Duggar family followers have uncovered their exact wedding date, and the timing seems awfully coincidental. In fact, family followers theorize that their wedding is being planned around Josh Duggar’s upcoming sentencing.
How long have Jeremiah and Hannah been together?
The Duggar family isn’t known for long, drawn-out relationships before marriage. In fact, many of the Duggars have made it down the aisle within a year of announcing their courtship. On the surface, Jeremiah and Hannah don’t appear to be different from the other Duggar couples, but they might just be.
Fans are still unsure of their actual relationship timeline. Jeremiah and Hannah only went public with their romance on Instagram in October. That doesn’t appear to be when their relationship began, though. While the couple has remained fairly private about their relationship, there have been rumors about a romance since December 2020.
In December 2020, Jana Duggar was spotted at the Wissmann house for the holidays. Initially, Duggar family followers believed that Jana could be courting Stephen Wissmann. Jeremiah was on hand, too, and it turns out that he was actually the one getting to know one of the Wissmann siblings. The siblings took several more trips to Nebraska over several months. Duggar family followers also spotted Jeremiah and Hannah looking cozy over the summer in a photo shared on a friend’s Instagram account. The owner of the picture later altered the photo.
While Jeremiah and Hannah haven’t shared their exact dating anniversary with fans, it’s safe to assume the couple has been together for a while. Assuming they began dating in November or December 2020, they will be about 15 months into their courtship when they say “I Do.”

According to the site, the couple has less than 60 days to go before tying the knot. The engagement will be less than three months long, which seems quick. Interestingly enough, most Duggars plan their weddings for shortly after their engagements. Jeremiah and Hannah might have an additional reason to speed things up.
Is the rush related to Josh Duggar’s sentencing?
If the date listed on several registries is correct, Jeremiah and Hannah’s wedding is happening pretty quickly after the engagement. Duggar family critics think there might be a reason for that. Family followers have theorized that the couple is racing to get married before Josh Duggar is sentenced for receiving and possessing child pornography.
A jury found Josh Duggar guilty on both counts on December 9, but the judge didn’t hand down his sentence that day. Josh’s next court dates will likely occur sometime in early April, just days after Jeremiah and Hannah’s rumored wedding date.
The timing could be a coincidence, but there is reason to believe the Duggars have been carefully planning events and milestones around Josh’s scandals for the last year.
