Duggar Followers Suspect Jill Duggar’s Husband, Derick Dillard, Refuses to Be Around Josh Duggar
We’ve been following the Duggars for years, and Josh Duggar continues to be the center of controversy. Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar’s oldest son brought the entire family into a bad light back in 2015, as it was exposed that he admitted to sexually abusing some of his younger siblings. Since then, he was also caught with an account on the cheating website Ashley Madison, which put a serious strain on his marriage to Anna Duggar.
There seems to still be plenty of controversy and tension surrounding Josh. And it looks like many of his siblings don’t associate with him much or make their association with him known to the public. Duggar family critics suspect he has trouble with his in-laws, too — especially Jill Duggar’s husband, Derick Dillard.
Josh Duggar’s involved in a sexual abuse scandal concerning Jill Duggar and a few others in the family
Josh’s abuse scandal was brought to the public’s knowledge back in 2015. It’s been reported that Josh molested five underage girls back in the early 2000s, and he came forward to Jim Bob and Michelle to help him deal with this. The worried parents didn’t want this coming forth to the public, of course, so they reportedly sought help amongst other church members at first. Then, they brought the situation to lawyers.
The scandal stayed out of the media until 2015. Then, when the public learned of what went on, Josh admitted to his wrongdoings and stepped down from his position at the conservative Family Research Council. Not only that, but TLC also canceled 19 Kids and Counting.
Some of Josh’s siblings who were directly affected by his abuse, like Jill and Jessa, have since remarked on it. “I was in tears. I couldn’t believe what was going on,” Jill said during an interview with Fox News, according to E! News. “Whenever I heard the police reports had been released, I said what … They didn’t have the right to do this. We’re victims. They can’t do this to us. And they did.”

Eventually, TLC renewed the Duggars for their newer series, Counting On. While Josh wasn’t featured, Jill and her husband, Dillard, was. But they were promptly kicked off the show after Dillard expressed anti-transgender sentiments about TLC co-star Jazz Jennings.
Dillard has since remarked on his time with TLC, and it seems he has a severe dislike for the network. He wrote back to an Instagram follower all about how Jill’s become the black sheep of the Duggar family. And he also expressed that TLC pressured Jill to continue filming Counting On even though she didn’t want to.
“… It’s not going to look good for TLC when it’s exposed that they pressured an abuse victim to continue filming when we tried to quit, just so they could continue with Jill & Jessa: Counting On after 19K&C,” Derick wrote.
Duggar family critics think Dillard refuses to be around Josh
Dillard’s made it clear he’s ready to go to war against the Duggars. He’s threatened to write a tell-all book exposing Jim Bob and Michelle’s unsavory behaviors, and he’s told multiple outlets about how Jill’s stepping away from her famous family. Because of what Dillard’s expressed, Reddit users also think he refuses to be around Josh.
“Derick definitely,” a Reddit user answered when asked which brother-in-law hates Josh the most. “I wouldn’t be surprised if Austin hated him too. I don’t even know if Jill has any real relationship with Anna either.”
“Derick definitely. He has said that he and Jill don’t like being around certain family members …,” another wrote.
“Derick can’t conceal his repulsion when he’s near him,” another noted.
We’re hopeful Dillard really does write his tell-all book sooner rather than later, as we’re sure he’ll reveal how he feels about all of Jill’s siblings in due time.
