Dwayne Johnson is one of the biggest stars in Hollywood. He found fame as a wrestler first and then his way to the big screen with movies like The Scorpion King and Moana. Johnson quietly retired from wrestling years ago to focus on his acting career, though he says he misses the sport sometimes.
Johnson recently lent his acting chops to the new Disney movie, Jungle Cruise, which enjoyed a theatrical release after more than a year of theatre silence due to the pandemic. Johnson has a new role these days, as a father and a husband. Johnson married his longtime girlfriend Lauren Hashian, in 2019, and the two are going strong. How Dwayne Johnson and Lauren Hashian met
Johnson and Hashian first met in 2006 at a kickoff party in Boston filming The Game Plan. They were aware of each other because they frequented the same restaurant. Johnson was actually married at the time. However, he ended up splitting with his then-wife, Dany Garcia, in 2007. Shortly after the divorce, Hashian and Johnson began dating. At the party, Hashian was initially unimpressed.
Johnson claims that Hashian began to speak to him at first but quickly hustled away, excusing herself. After that conversation, Johnson proclaimed that he was immediately fascinated by the woman who would later have 2 of his children and marry. They later reconnected and have been inseparable since.
They’ve been together for a while but only recently married
The couple lived together for a long time before tying the knot. They started officially dating in 2007 and had their children well before they were married. Jasmine was born in 2015 and Tiana in 2018. The couple decided to tie the knot in 2019 finally.
It’s not clear why the couple waited so long to get married. It’s possible that Johnson wanted to wait because of the failure of his first marriage. Perhaps he wanted to be sure that the marriage would last.
Who is Lauren Hashian
Lauren Hashian is a singer, songwriter, and music producer. She has been associated with the music industry since she was a teenager. Her musical career began at 19 when she transformed her dorm room at Emerson College into a private studio. Her father, Sib Hashian, was a drummer for the rock band Boston. Hashian was destined to be involved in the music industry by virtue of being the daughter of a famous drummer.
Hashian likes to keep a low profile because she is the main caregiver of the two children the couple share together. Although she is mainly a wife and mother these days, her husband still supports her work.
Johnson got his start wrestling. Thankfully, unlike many of his wrestling colleagues, he seems to have known when to call it quits to save his body the wear and tear that so many wrestling stars have succumbed to. Finding a career that is easier on the bones than wrestling has definitely agreed with Johnson. Like John Cena and Dave Bautista, many others from the wrestling world have tried to follow in his footsteps.
However, they haven’t quite matched the success that Johnson has achieved. In 2018, Forbes declared that Johnson made $124 million pretax, the largest acting income reported ever. Impressive for any actor, and even more so for an actor who has never had any formal training. With a nice stable acting career, Johnson and Hashian are indeed living their best life these days.
