Working on the Disney+ series, WandaVision, wasn’t the first time Marvel actor Elizabeth Olsen walked onto the Full House set. She had two sisters work on the sitcom before it came to an end in the 1990s.

That’s the twins Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, the actors behind the cake and ice cream-loving munchkin named Michelle Tanner. Here’s what we know about this cast member and her latest project with Marvel.

Wanda and Vision star in iconic sitcoms for their Disney+ original series

Even though Wanda and Vision’s relationship came to an abrupt end at the hands of Thanos, these two have a second chance at their happily ever after. That’s mostly thanks to a new series from Disney+, titled WandaVison.

“The show is a love letter to the golden age of television,” WandaVision head writer Jac Schaeffer said during an interview with Entertainment Weekly. “We’re paying tribute and honoring all of these incredible shows and people who came before us, [but] we’re also trying to blaze new territory.”

This television show premieres during January 2020 and features Marvel actors from Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Civil War — Elizabeth Olsen (Wanda) and Paul Bettany (Vision.)

Wanda and Vision appear in a new version of ‘Full House’ for ‘WandaVision’

Thanks to a few different teasers from Disney+, fans caught a glimpse into this exclusive Marvel series. Wanda and Vision appeared in the setting and the outfits of a few different decades and its corresponding sitcoms.

For the 1950s, that included a black-and-white I Love Lucy snippet. For the 1970s, that had Wanda in long hair and a Brady Bunch-esque background. When it came to the 1980s, Wanda and Vision made a stop in the iconic sitcom of the decade, Full House, complete with big hair and flannel.

Although Full House came to an end in the 1990s (and the Olsen twins are absent from the Netflix spinoff series,) Elizabeth Olsen had a special connection to this comedy series. That’s mostly thanks to her older sisters.

Actor Elizabeth Olsen’s sisters worked on the ‘Full House’ set

Before Elizabeth Olsen even worked in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, her two sisters were acting in this iconic sitcom. Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen appeared as the youngest Tanner sister, named Michelle. (Elizabeth Olsen was about 6-years-old when her older sisters wrapped production on Full House.)

“It was insanity,” Olsen said with a laugh during an interview with Entertainment Weekly. “There was something very meta for my own life because I would visit those tapings as a kid, where my sisters were working [on Full House].”

WandaVision will stream on Disney+ on January 15, 2021. Until then, episodes of Full House featuring the Olsen twins are available for streaming on Hulu.
