‘Emily in Paris’: How Many Episodes Are in Season 2?
Netflix is giving Emily in Paris fans the perfect holiday gift: season 2. A new batch of episodes will arrive in late December, bringing even more love triangle drama and French culture. But how long will Emily’s adventure in the City of Lights last this time around? Here’s what to expect from Emily in Paris Season 2’s episodes.
What is ‘Emily in Paris’ Season 2 about?
The second season will see Emily (Lily Collins) deal with the aftermath of her affair with Gabriel (Lucas Bravo). He’s decided not to move away from Paris after all, which means Emily can’t quite escape their chemistry. In the trailer, as seen below, Emily struggles with whether or not to tell Camille (Camille Razat) about what she and Gabriel did. Plus, season 2 sees Emily lean into French culture and explore areas outside of Paris, including St. Tropez.
Netflix has also teased more love interests for Emily in the new episodes, as well as some work drama. Here’s the season 2 synopsis, per Harper’s Bazaar:
Now more entrenched in her life in Paris, Emily’s getting better at navigating the city but still struggling with the idiosyncrasies of French life. After stumbling into a love triangle with her neighbor and her first real French friend, Emily is determined to focus on her work—which is getting more complicated by the day. In French class, she meets a fellow expat who both infuriates and intrigues her.

Lily Collins already wants a season 3
Many fans might like to hear a season 3 announcement already, but Netflix likely won’t provide any updates until some time after season 2 drops. Season 1 faced a ton of backlash for its lack of diversity and portrayal of French stereotypes. At the same time, though, it also proved to be incredibly popular.
Only time will tell if season 2 garners the same popularity. However, Collins is feeling confident, and she’s already looking forward to season 3.
“I really hope people laugh and smile and get to have the same feelings of escapism and fun that they did the first season,” Collins told Glamour. “I hope viewers find more of themselves in different characters and feel seen and represented in the show. And I hope that we get a season 3 because I really hope we get to come back and do this again.”
