What Is Eminem’s Ex-Wife Kimberly Scott’s Net Worth Today?
Anyone familiar with Eminem‘s music knows who Kimberly Anne Scott is. Slim Shady has dropped countless lines about his ex-wife and even has entire songs detailing the issues they went through when they were together. Because Em’s fans heard so much about Scott in the past, they have remained curious about her over the years.
Here’s more about the rapper’s former wife including the career path she chose and what her net worth is today.
Eminem and Kim Scott were high school sweethearts
Scott was born on Jan. 9, 1975, in Warren, Michigan, to Kathleen and Casimer Sluck. In 1988, Scott ran away from her parents’ house and moved to a youth home on the outskirts of Detroit. She met Eminem at a house party when she was 13 and he was 15. Not too long after that, she began living with him and his mother and the two attended the same high school.
On Dec. 25, 1995, the couple welcomed their daughter Hailie Jade. The pair got married in 1999 but had a tumultuous relationship and divorced in 2001. However, they reconciled and got hitched again in 2006, only to divorce months later. The “Lose Yourself” artist was ordered to pay Scott $1,000 a week or $52,000 annually in child support after finalizing their divorce.
Eminem apologized to Scott for his past mistakes in the song “Bad Husband” off his 2017 Revival album.
Scott became an author
Today, Scott is an author and illustrator of children’s books. Her very first one was titled Mommy! There’s a Snot Man Standing Next to You. The book is about a little boy kept home from school by his mother because he has a runny nose. The boy learns what happens when he does not use a tissue to wipe his nose. In addition to children’s stories, Scott also creates hand-designed greeting cards and puzzles.
She owns a residential property in Macomb Township, Michigan, and these days has a net worth of $2 million per Celebrity Net Worth.
She is recovering after a recent incident at her home
TMZ reported that police were called to Scott’s house on July 30, 2021. According to the outlet, officers “responded to a call of a suicidal person.” Sources said that Scott had to be “restrained by deputies” and “had several small lacerations on the back of her leg and a good amount of blood was on the floor.”
She was hospitalized after the incident and is now recovering at home.
Classic105.com noted that just a few days before the cops were called to her residence, Scott learned that her mother had died at the age of 65. “Kathleen was an exceptional mom to her two daughters; Kim and Dawn; and was overjoyed to become a grandmother to her grandchildren; Alaina, Adam, Hailie, Stevie, P.J., and Parker,” Kathleen Sluck’s obituary read.
