Here Are the Episodes of ‘Full House’ Which Feature Both Olsen Twins on Screen at the Same Time
Typically, only one Olsen twin portrayed Michelle Tanner, the youngest of the siblings, on Full House. For a select few episodes, though, both Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen appeared on the screen.
‘The Seven-Month Itch’ — Season 1, Episode 19
It’s a full house, but that isn’t always a good thing when you need space. When Uncle Jesse learns that Joey and Danny are taking the girls to Disneyland for the day, he’s kind of relieved to have the house to himself for once.
Everything is going well with his date until the family comes back. Uncle Jesse then has a nightmare about all of the children, Danny, and Joey needing his help. Instead of one Michelle Tanner asking to spend time with her Uncle, it’s two.
‘Greek Week’ — Season 4, Episode 1
Uncle Jesse is pretty proud of his Greek heritage, especially showing it off during this episode. Besides Jesse’s old lover and DJ’s newest boyfriend, Uncle Jesse’s grandparents bring Melina, the four-year-old daughter of Jesse’s cousin, to the Full House house. Michelle is shocked to learn they look exactly the same.
Well, except Melina doesn’t speak English and has brown hair. The two characters eventually become best friends and, when they’re wearing a hat, they look exactly the same. Well, except for the fact that Michelle calls Danny Tanner her father.
‘The Devil Made Me Do It’ — Season 5, Episode 19
She may be his little munchkin, but even the sweet Michelle Tanner has a dark side when Uncle Jesse tells her not to touch his recording equipment. Both twins appear, one as the “good side” of Michelle and the other as the “bad side.”
‘Michelle Rides Again Part 2’ — Season 8, Episode 24
This character has had a few hobbies throughout Full House. She danced ballet and played soccer. In one of the last episodes, she finds a love for horseback riding. Instead of competing with her friend, they decide to go off and ride for fun. Unfortunately, Michelle falls off and loses her memory.
During one of the final scenes of the series, Michelle has a conversation with “her memory,” AKA the second Olsen twin. The character’s memory explains that she ran away when she fell off the horse. They merge together and Michelle acts like herself again.
Some characters returned for the Netflix spinoff of this sitcom. Even though Michelle Tanner regained her memory, the actors behind this character never appeared on Fuller House. In one episode, Danny Tanner casually mentions that Michelle is working in fashion in New York City, but she’s rarely referred to thereafter.
Most episodes of Full House featuring the Olsen twins are available for streaming on Hulu. All five seasons of the Netflix original spinoff series, Fuller House, are available on the streaming platform, Netflix.
