Throughout Euphoria Season 2, Lexi has been preparing to put on a play inspired by the events around her. It seems that fans will finally get to see the fruits of her labor when the show returns with episode 7. Fans are also dying to see if Fezco and Lexi will finally get together, and to learn more about the fallout between Maddy and Cassie. What happened in ‘Euphoria’ Season 2 Episode 6?
Euphoria Season 2 Episode 6 dealt with the fallout of Rue’s rampage in episode 5. Luckily, Rue is back home with her family, but she is dealing with the painful symptoms of withdrawal. Rue calls Ali to apologize and he forgives her. Once Rue is feeling better, he even shows up to make dinner for Rue and her family.
Meanwhile, Nate hatches a plan to get his dad’s sex tape back from Maddy. He shows up at her house and after playing a sick game of Russian Roulette, she tells him where the tape is located. Surprisingly, Nate actually heads to Jules’ house and gives her the disc. He then calls Cassie and asks her to come and stay with him.
What is ‘Euphoria’ Season 2 Episode 7 about?
Euphoria Season 2 Episode 7 is titled “The Theater and It’s Double,” which is a reference to a collection of essays by French playwright Antonin Artaud. Lexi’s plays will debut in the episode and it’s clear that the show is about the people at her school. In the promo video, Lexi worries, “I’m getting anxious it’s gonna upset people.” From the audience, Maddy says, “Wait. Is this f***ing play about us?”
Over the phone, Fezco promises Lexi that he will be at the show, but it doesn’t seem meant to be. Lexi peeps out at the audience and notices an empty chair. What’s more, in the previous episode Custer warned Faye that the police have their sights set on Fezco and Ashtray for killing Mouse and that he will be helping them out.
Custer also states that he will be coming over soon to talk about things. The promo for episode 7 shows Custer at Fezco’s house, and Ashtray looks plenty suspicious of him. It could be that Custer is wearing a wire and this whole situation causes Fez to miss Lexi’s play.
There is also a clip of Maddy trying to get through to Cassie, who is hiding out on the other side of a door. A Reddit user stated that this is likely a flashback to the night Rue revealed Cassie has been sleeping with Nate. “Looks like we’re getting another scene of what went down when Maddy first found out. That’s what I’ve been itching to know,” they wrote.

According to Decider, Euphoria Season 2 Episode 7 will premiere on HBO and HBO Max on Sunday, Feb. 20 at 9 p.m. ET. This will be the penultimate episode of season 2, with the finale scheduled to air the following week. The HBO series has also been confirmed for a third season.
