‘Euphoria’ Season 2 Episode 7 Trailer Shows Cassie Wearing Maddy’s Necklace While Walking With Nate
Euphoria Season 2 Episode 6 featured more of Cassie’s breakdown. In episode 5, Rue revealed to Maddy that Cassie and Nate were hooking up, causing a firestorm between the best friends and fallout for Nate. While Maddy refused to contact Nate, Cassie relentlessly called him. And the Euphoria Season 2 Episode 7 trailer shows Cassie wearing the necklace Nate took off of Maddy’s dresser.

Are Cassie and Nate dating? ‘Euphoria’ Season 2 Episode 6 ended with them together
Fans watching Euphoria Season 2 want to know if Cassie and Nate are dating. At the end of Euphoria Season 2 Episode 6, it certainly looked like their relationship was headed in that direction. Cassie spent the episode crying and calling Nate, but to no avail. Finally, at the end of the episode, Nate called her and picked her up to bring her to his place — and while Cassie punched him in the chest for all he put her through, they eventually seemed to make up.
It looks like Cassie and Nate might be headed for an actual relationship, which will surely send Maddy into a spiral. Episode 6 also featured Nate threatening both himself and Maddy with a gun in order to get the CD of his father and Jules having sex. He placed the gun to his head and played Russian roulette until Maddy told him where the CD was. He took the CD and dropped it off to Jules, leaving Maddy in shambles by his abuse.

Fans noticed an important detail in the Euphoria Season 2 Episode 7 trailer. The trailer begins with Lexi, Cassie’s sister, getting her picture taken, as it’s time for her play to debut. “This is it, people!” Lexi yells while backstage. “It’s f***ing showtime!”
As Lexi’s voiceover is heard, a brief image of Nate and Cassie holding hands in the high school hallway appears. Cassie is wearing a revealing pink crop top with full-glam makeup, and her hair is straightened. The low-cut crop also reveals her neckline that’s adorned with Maddy’s necklace.
In episode 6, Nate swipes the necklace off of Maddy’s dresser prior to threatening her and himself with a gun. Given what the trailer shows, it seems perhaps he gives it to Cassie to wear. It’s unclear whether Cassie knows the origins of the necklace.
“SHE IS WEARING MADDY’S NECKLACE,” a fan commented on Reddit.
“Is she wearing the Tiffany necklace Nate got Maddy for her bday?!” another fan guessed. “Oh, that’s low.”
“Because he knows she’ll never take him back after what he did,” another fan noted. “The fact that Cassie would proudly wear it after she literally saw him put it around Maddy’s neck not even a week ago is my real issue.”
Are Cassie and Maddy still friends? The trailer doesn’t look promising for their friendship
Can Cassie and Maddy fix their friendship after everything with Nate? Given what we see in the Euphoria Season 2 Episode 7 trailer, it doesn’t look like the two will be getting along anytime soon. Additionally, Cassie actor Sydney Sweeney spoke on The Late Late Show with James Corden regarding how she severely broke her toe while on set. Some fans think Sweeney broke her toe while filming a fight scene between Cassie and Maddy, as Sweeney then revealed it was Maddy actor Alexa Demie who did it.
“Well in one of the episodes, a character that’s very upset with Cassie right now, accidentally stepped on me and it broke my toe in three places,” Sweeney said.
“Did you feel it was malicious?” James Corden eventually asked.
“Hmm,” Sweeney thought to herself. “I mean, it was in-scene.”
Fans will have to wait and see what happens between Nate, Maddy, and Cassie when Euphoria Season 2 Episode 7 premieres on Feb. 20, 2022, via HBO Max.
