I love you forever.”

According to Page Six, the ring is a customed design from XIV Karats, a Beverly Hills-based jeweler. Sun is not the only celebrity client of this particular jeweler. Stars such as Kylie Jenner, Hailey Bieber, and Lana Del Ray also own XIV Karats designs.
The ring has a heart-shaped diamond, which is special for the couple. When they first met, they were both wearing matching heart-shaped paved rings. Since meeting, they’ve never taken those rings off. So it was only fitting that the engagement ring was a nod to the original rings. The ring is so popular that the jeweler has a smaller version available for purchase on its website.
Mod Sun also had messages engraved inside the ring. According to an interview with People, Lavigne said, “It has the words ‘Hi Icon’ engraved in it, which were the first words he ever said to me. And it has Mod + Avril on the inside.”

Mod Sun and Avril Lavigne first met when Lavigne was working on her Love Sux album, which is an album that is filled with songs about her most recent breakup.
