Following their trip to Nigeria last May, the next country Prince Harry and Meghan Markle chose to visit is Colombia. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex headed to the South American nation for a four-day tour. This is a high-profile trip for the Sussexes, therefore, fashionistas everywhere will be watching Meghan to see what she wears, just as they do when the Princess of Wales (formerly known as Kate Middleton) makes a public appearance.

Last month, Kate wowed the crowd when she attended Wimbledon and donned some stylish accessories. Now, a jewelry expert predicts that Meghan, who definitely wants to wow the crowds in Colombia, will opt to wear the same type of pieces.

Jewelry expert believes fans will see Meghan wearing something just like what Kate wore

On July 14, Kate attended the Wimbledon Men’s Final with her daughter, Princess Charlotte, and her sister, Pippa Middleton. Fans were delighted to see the princess since her public appearances are rare these days as she continues preventive chemotherapy following her cancer diagnosis.

Many royal watchers gushed on social media about how great Kate looked physically and commented on her pretty purple Safiyaa dress and stylish gold jewelry.

Before the Sussexes touched down in Colombia, Eddie Le Vian, CEO of jewelry brand Le Vian, predicted that Meghan could take inspiration from the accessories Kate wore and wear similar bold gold jewelry at some point on her tour. He told GB News: “I anticipate Meghan will opt for yellow gold pieces … A pair of bold statement gold earrings may well also find their way into her jewelry box. Bold gold is a trend that will be big in 2025.”

Le Vian also fully expects that the duchess will choose to rock some emerald jewels or accessories during the trip.

He opined: “A pop of color is also to be expected from Meghan — It’s worth remembering that the vivid green hue of Colombian emeralds are the finest and the most prized in the world. Not to mention that emeralds are her son, Prince Archie’s birthstone.”

Meghan and Harry touched down in Colombia on Aug. 15th and were first welcomed at the official residence of the country’s Vice President Francia Márquez and her partner Rafael Yerney Pinillos.

Two weeks earlier, Márquez released a statement announcing the couple’s trip that read: “I am pleased to announce that Prince Harry and Meghan, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, have kindly accepted my invitation to visit our beautiful country. During their trip, the Duke and Duchess will join me in visiting Bogotá, as well as the Caribbean and Pacific regions of Cartagena and Cali.”

Upon arriving at the vice president’s home, the duke sported a navy blue suit jacket and pants with a lighter blue button-down Brioni shirt.

Meanwhile, his wife looked elegant in a sleeveless, buttoned, halter-neck waistcoat with matching navy ankle pants from designer Veronica Beard. The duchess paired her outfit with black Manolo Blahnik high heels, a cream handbag from the Italian company Loro Piana, and black Ray-Ban sunglasses. As for her jewelry, the former Suits star donned a gold Cartier Love bangle and Lorraine Schwartz tennis bracelet. She later changed into a high-slit multi-colored dress and accessories with several pieces of bold gold jewelry.
