People are still buzzing about Kendrick Lamar‘s halftime performance during Super Bowl LIX.

Before the Philadelphia Eagles were crowned champions for dominating the Kansas City Chiefs, all eyes were on Kendrick Lamar who was introduced by legendary actor Samuel L. Jackson and joined on stage by recording artist SZA and tennis great Serena Williams.

For his song set, Lamar performed “Squabble Up,” “Humble,” “DNA.,” “Euphoria,” and his Drake-diss track “Not Like Us.” The rapper was dripping in diamonds as he spit his lyrics and now we know just how much all that bling cost.

There were mixed reactions to Lamar’s performance but his jewelry stood out

If you somehow missed Lamar’s halftime show and wanted to know how it was, that depends on who you talk to. While some fans and publications called it “epic,” other outlets and social media users said was a “lackluster” performance and they expected more from the Pulitzer Prize winner.

Whether you liked or disliked the show, many fans could not turn away from all the diamonds Lamar was wearing.

As Steven Stone jewelry expert Maxwell Stone commented, “Addressing themes of unity, purpose, and survival, his set transcended music — much like the dazzling diamonds he was wearing.”

Lamar wore nearly $1 million in diamonds during his show

The diamond experts at the U.K. retailer took a closer look at Lamar’s jewels to break down and determine the astronomical amount his bling actually cost.

Stone noted: “The Grammy-winning rapper was rocking two diamond pins from Rahaminov on his backwards baseball cap. Likely crafted from platinum, the first pin was shaped like an angel wing, featuring marquise diamonds — I’d estimate its value at around $30,000. On the back of Kendrick’s cap, he showcased Rahaminov’s Half Moon Sunset Diamonds pin, adorned with over 100 round-cut diamonds, I’d estimate its worth to be about $50,000.

“On his right hand, Kendrick flaunted a massive diamond ring over his leather gloves. Crafted by his longtime collaborator, Eliantte, the ring takes the shape of an eye, with a sizable round-cut diamond at its center, surrounded by a halo of smaller round cuts. Flanking the eye are two pear-cut diamonds, adding to its striking design. Eliantte is a world-renowned, high-end bespoke jeweler, and this particular piece is nothing short of extraordinary. Given its design and craftsmanship, I’d estimate the ring to be worth around $500,000.

The expert added: “Last but certainly not least is Kendrick’s bold necklace, featuring a thick platinum chain attached to a lowercase ‘a’ initial pendant, which appears to be adorned with diamonds. The necklace has become a topic of controversy, with fans speculating a connection to his ongoing feud with Drake, particularly the line ‘a minor’ in Kendrick’s diss track ‘Not Like Us’ released in response to Drake’s swipe at him in ‘Family Matters.’ Though it’s challenging to accurately value based on the available images, there’s no denying that it’s an impressive piece. As it’s from Eliantte, it’s sure to come with a hefty price tag. I’d estimate its worth to be around $400,000.

“Altogether, Kendrick was dripping in an impressive $980,000 worth of jewels during his performance — truly a sight to behold and a reflection of both his style and status.”
