Fans Cannot Believe How Much Kylie Jenner Is Charging for 1 Kylie Skin Product
Kylie Jenner launched her skincare line, Kylie Skin, in 2019. Like the products from her makeup brand, Kylie Cosmetics, the ones from Kylie Skin are also more expensive than skincare products from a local drugstore. However, that has not stopped fans from criticizing Jenner for the exuberant price of one Kylie Skin product.
Fans have had complaints about Kylie Skin products
Kylie Skin has received a number of complaints from users and health experts alike.
For example, its Walnut Face Scrub has caused a stir because walnut is generally not an ingredient one would find in a skincare product. According to Refinery29, walnut is a “harsh” ingredient to use on one’s skin, which is why dermatologists would not recommend it for one’s skincare routine.
Aside from the questionable face scrub, fans also seem to believe Jenner herself does not even use the products from Kylie Skin. The evidence for this is a video of Jenner putting her Foaming Face Wash on for just a few seconds before washing it off.
Additionally, fans also noticed that just a few months after buying the brand’s Foaming Face Wash, it changed from clear to a dark rust color. As a result, some internet users decided to use it as a bathroom cleaner instead.
Fans think Kylie Jenner should not be charging $300 for a signed advent calendar
Kylie Skin recently started selling advent calendars, and fans are not happy about the prices. The original calendar costs $150 while a signed version costs $300—both of which have been deemed excessive by onlookers. Most notably, some people do not understand why a signed version needs to cost twice the original.
“300?! Is that advent calendar filled with gold?” one person said on Reddit.
Another person also noted that it would be nice if Jenner could be charitable with the extra money, saying, “If only she would, you know, use that extra $$ she’s making for 2 minutes of work to help people in need…”
However, not everyone is shocked at the pricing for Jenner’s advent calendars. It’s not unusual for celebrities to charge high prices for autographed items, and Jenner seems to be popular enough to do so.
“She can only sign so many, which makes it an in demand item. People that care enough and can afford it will buy it, those who can’t…won’t,” one fan wrote.
Both advent calendars have been sold out on Kylie Skin’s website, so it seems there was quite a lot of demand for them.
Kylie Jenner is known for trying different things to make money
When looking at Jenner’s business history, it’s clear that she is very much willing to sell many things if people will buy them.
For example, Jenner became a meme last year when a clip of her singing “rise and shine” to her daughter went viral. Afterwards, to capitalize on the sudden trend, Jenner decided to sell clothing apparels with “rise and shine” on them. She sold these items on her official merchandise store for $65 each.
While some onlookers were impressed with Jenner’s business sense, others did not like that she was trying to make money from an internet joke.
Regardless of what fans’ opinions on Jenner’s business tactics are, it’s clear that luck was not the only thing that made her the second-wealthiest Kardashian-Jenner sister.
