Most “regular” people tend to choose names for their children that will look great on a nametag or a desktop sign. Even if the names they choose are slightly unique or rarely heard, parents-to-be favor names that their offspring will be able to grow into and ensure that they will not be ridiculed at school or whatever workplace they choose.
Celebrities, in many cases, don’t have to worry about their children going about a traditional education or career path. Therefore, they could feel a little bit freer to select names that many normal parents might scoff at. Some celebrities truly choose to go off the beaten path with their baby names, either completely making names up or combining several different baby names into one. It could be that the unusual names are due to the influence of her husband, Kanye West. A lot of people agreed that, at least, most of her children have one-syllable names, and that her reasoning for the names made sense, even if not many people love the names themselves. Surprisingly, a number of posters on Reddit actually like the name Chicago, the name given to Kim Kardashian West’s youngest daughter, and agree that her nickname “Chi” is super-cute.
The general consensus among fans is that the name Dream is “tacky” but that it could be a lot worse – and that oldest sister Kourtney Kardashian started out choosing normal names for her kids but by the time she welcomed her third child she went rogue and chose the unusual name Reign Aston. As the family continues to grow and add more children to the group, there’s no doubt that fans will continue to have more to talk about in terms of baby names.
