Nicki Minaj is apparently upset with Usher for comments he made about her rap style – so much so that she took aim at his sexual health in a new song. The “Let It Burn” singer’s sexual history became front-page news after several women accused him of giving them an STD and Minaj makes a killer reference about it in her popular collaboration with Tekashi 6ix9ine.
Nicki Minaj’s new song with Tekashi 6ix9ine makes hip hop history – Minaj’s alleged subtle diss at Usher
Both Minaj and Tekashi have experienced their share of “haters.” Minaj has fought off the comparisons between her and fellow female rap icon, Lil’ Kim, and the idea that she’s stolen Kim’s style and persona.
Tekashi has been seemingly blacklisted from many in the hip hop industry after working with the feds and being labeled a “snitch.” The two rappers banned together for their new single “Trollz,” which takes aim at anyone who’s ever had anything negative to say about them.
The colorful music video was released on June 12 and within 24 hours the video made history with over 46 million streams, making it the most viewed music video in hip hop history on YouTube.

In the song, Minaj raps:
“They get nervous when it’s Nicki on the roster (Rrr)/Somebody usher this n***a into a clinic/My flow’s still sick, I ain’t talkin’ a pandemic/I write my own lyrics, a lot of these b****es gimmicks/They study Nicki style, now all of them wan’ mimic/Talkin’ ’bout snitches when it’s snitches in your camp.”
Many believed the Usher line was in reference to Usher having herpes.
Fans go crazy over Nicki Minaj’s alleged diss toward Usher
News of Usher having herpes was made public when several of his alleged intimate partners came forward with allegations that they contracted the virus from him during their relationship. According to BOSSIP, a woman claimed that he exposed her to genital herpes during in 2017 and that he did not disclose his status. The lawsuit revealed that Usher was diagnosed in 2009 or 2010.
She sued Usher in 2017 for $10 million and later increased it to $20 million after she received a positive herpes result. Usher asked a judge to throw out the suit, insisting he never intentionally exposed anyone.
Knowing this information, Minaj fans had reason to believe her lyrics were aimed directly at Usher.
“The fact that Nicki Minaj shaded Usher in a better version of the wig she had on in his video and purposely faced this way when she dissed him is petty & ICONIC… I will forever stan,” one wrote.”
“I’m crying because Nicki Minaj really said “Somebody usher this n***a into a clinic.” Now I stan because not only is Nicki Minaj a rapper she’s also a comedian too,” wrote another.
Some of Minaj’s fans believe the diss was payback for Usher chiming in on her longtime feud with Lil’ Kim. “Nicki is a product of Lil Kim,” the singer said during a conversation with Swizz Beatz.
“I knew Nicki wasn’t gonna let Ushers comments slide – “Somebody USHER this n***a to a clinic,” one commented.
Usher has yet to comment on Minaj’s jab. He’s also never discussed his diagnosis publicly. Tekashi has challenged Usher to respond.
