39-year-old Priyanka Chopra and 29-year-old Nick Jonas got married in 2018 after a whirlwind courtship. They celebrated with two ceremonies – one Hindu and one Christian – in five days.
Chopra opened up about their cultural differences on Victoria’s Secret’s “VS Voices” podcast.
“It’s so amazing to me that we were raised in different parts of the world with the same beliefs and same value system,” the Matrix: Resurrection star shared (via Hindustan Times).
“And neither have an idea of each other’s careers because we were so busy building our own careers at that time,” she continued. “I didn’t know much about the Jonas Brothers; he definitely didn’t know much about me.”
Chopra said she and Jonas got to know each other’s lives and cultures. “It was really interesting when we got together to sort of not just have our cultures marry and clash but to also be able to peel layers of getting to know each other’s lives,” she said. “We’ve both had two decades of public lives, and we got to experience that all over, and that was lovely.”

On Jan. 21, Chopra and Jonas released matching statements to reveal that they have a new member of their family.
“We are overjoyed to confirm that we have welcomed a baby via surrogate,” Chopra shared on her Instagram. “We respectfully ask for privacy during this special time as we focus on our family. Thank you so much ❤️.”
The post contained Priyanka’s words in white letters against a black background, and she captioned the image, “❤️ @nickjonas.” Jonas shared the same post and tagged his wife in the caption.
