Halsey flaunted her stretch marks in a new ad for about-face beauty
On Feb. 20, Halsey shared a series of photos to Instagram from an ad campaign for their about-face beauty brand. The first image showed Halsey at the center of nine other models as they posed together, laughing in their underwear. The models have noticeably different skin tones and sizes, demonstrating the brand’s emphasis on inclusivity and diversity.
The second shot is a close-up of Halsey’s torso and thigh. She cups her breast in one hand while grabbing a portion of loose skin on her stomach. Stretch marks on her thighs are highlighted. Although her face isn’t shown, the singer’s tattoos make it evident that it’s her in the photo.
They captioned the pictures, “reminiscing on this lovely light lock shoot 🤍”

The singer has opened up about body image in the past
Halsey has been candid about body image in the past. On Sept. 9, 2021, they tweeted about their pregnancy and how it changed the way they looked and dressed. “My pregnancy has changed my body so much,” they wrote. “Learning how to have a personal sense of style when you’re not used to your new shapes has become a real struggle. To all the mommas (or really just anyone going thru something similar) I feeeel you.”
On Oct. 11, 2021, the singer and songwriter shared a series of Instagram photos showing their body days after giving birth. They wrote a lengthy caption about postpartum body image.
“I do not want to feed the illusion that you’re meant to feel and look ‘great’ immediately postpartum,” Halsey wrote. “That is not my narrative currently.”
She added later in the caption, “I will never have my ‘pre baby body back’ no matter how it changes physically because I have now had a baby! And that has altered me forever; emotionally, spiritually, and physically. That change is permanent. And I don’t want to go back!”
