Fans React to Teyana Taylor’s Steamy New Video with Kehlani
We don’t know how you spent your Friday night, but if you were able to hop online for a few minutes, then maybe you came across a trending video on YouTube. Teyana Taylor is trending right now, and it’s because she’s giving fans another taste of what’s to come with her upcoming album. She and another R&B star have tongues wagging over the video for their musical collaboration.
Taylor and fellow singer Kehlani drop new ballad
On Friday, Taylor released a sultry song featuring the talented Kehlani. The two songstresses tag-teamed for a new love anthem, “Morning,” and are setting the internet on fire with the sensual vocals and visuals in the video. Dubbed by Billboard as lustful, the song has a slow wine-and-lie down vibe that people can’t stop talking about.
Both ladies set the tone in the red-tinged video that takes place in the dark, a darkroom, and a pool, where they entice each other into a lovers’ tryst. “Morning” is the second single from Taylor’s latest project which is due to drop this December, per MTV News.
Although an official title hasn’t been shared, her third studio project is unofficially being called The Album and will also feature the single, “How You Want It” with King Combs.
It’s right on time because fans have been wanting a follow-up to 2018’s K.T.S.E, which had a few hit records on it too.
Fans are more than impressed with ‘Morning’
Taylor took to social media to poll fans for their thoughts on the steamy video, and there have been nothing but compliments pouring in on Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube. Many simply threw up fire and heart emojis to express their opinions, but others said the video is so hot it’s made them feel open to new types of romantic experiences.
The video had some people so enthralled with what Kehlani and Taylor are doing that they said they couldn’t concentrate on the lyrics when they watched it the first time. That means it required some viewers to hit replay.
It’s only been one day since the video hit the web but it’s racked up over 3 million views on YouTube and is trending on the platform. If you’re a fan of both ladies’ music and you want to see what all the fuss is about, hit Taylor’s channel to watch, then stream the single.
Taylor has a track record
For the uninitiated, Taylor has been on the entertainment scene since she was a teenager and debuted her first mixtape, From a Planet Called Harlem. As an adult, she’s honed her craft and has been killing it with songs like 2014’s “Maybe,” from her VII album and 2018’s “Gonna Love Me” with Ghostface Killah, Raekwon, and Method Man of Wu-Tang.
And in case you somehow missed it, she danced her way into popularity in Kanye West’s video for “Fade” in 2016. Catch up if you need to, but she’s been mesmerizing fans with her videos for a few years now. “Morning” has her and her followers feeling frisky and according to Kehlani, the new Teyana Taylor album will be “one for the books.”
