Fans Suspect Sydney Sweeney Has a New Stylist as Star Debuts Mature Winter-White Look
When celebrities switch stylists, fans are the first to notice. Zendaya began working with Law Roach, and her fashion profile shot to international recognition. Anne Hathaway used to wear safer, conventional red-carpet looks. Now, she models bolder, more modern outfits. Recently, fans suspect Sydney Sweeney has begun revamping her image, including her style selections.
Does Sydney Sweeney have a new stylist?
On January 19, Sydney Sweeney‘s sophisticated snow-bunny style made fans think, “She must’ve gotten a new stylist,” as one commented on Reddit. Another echoed, “Yep, she was upgraded for sure. Whomever is doing her hair now is amazing with color.” Did Sweeney ditch her go-to stylist, Molly Dickson, as she debuted this elegant winter look from Burberry? Absolutely not.
Although the look is a bit of a departure from Sweeney’s relaxed, modern style, she and Dickson are still tight. The stylist to stars like Sadie Sink, Bella Hadid, and Lana Del Rey is by the Euphoria actor’s side for all of her big moments in front of cameras. On January 19, Dickson dressed Sweeney for an evening outing as snow fell in New York City’s SoHo neighborhood. The stylist is known for her “incredible ability to enhance her clients’ unique styles,” as Sweeney told Vogue. The Reality actor even credits Dickson for turning her into a “fashion icon.”
Sydney Sweeney’s style evolution
Sweeney wore a monochromatic look for her frosty outing. She donned a mock-neck top and wide-leg trousers with matching, bright white, pointed-toe boots. The Handmaid’s Tale actor wore an off-white, belted Burberry coat — the star of the show. Gold buttons and sumptuous shearling trim along the collar, sleeve, and hem accented the floor-length jacket.
Dickson’s choice of hairstyle and accessories leveled up the refined ensemble. Sweeney wore her hair down in nearly waist-length soft waves. As The White Lotus season 1 star bent down to make a few snowballs, she juggled Burberry’s Knight Arc leather handbag in “soap,” a sophisticated ivory color. Fans may think Sweeney switched stylists. However, Dickson told Vogue that Sydney “loves to try different things,” which explains this cultured look on the 27-year-old.
Sweeney told Dickson early on in their partnership, “I don’t want to be put in one box. Some days I want to be girly, some days I want to be sexy.” The stylist emphasized, “Sydney taught me that it doesn’t need to be stagnant — that you can have different aesthetics and different roles in your fashion.” Not only does Sweeney experiment with her looks, but she’s also unafraid to vary her labels. As an ambassador for Tory Burch, Laneige, and Kérastase, she’ll utilize those brands but often mix in other designers and products.
