Ty Ferrell signed up for season 2 of Fox’s Farmer Wants a Wife in the hopes of finding the perfect woman to join him on his farm in Missouri.

The 42-year-old team roper and divorced dad of one eventually narrowed his choices down to two ladies. Megan, 31, was a teacher from Nashville. Melody, 31, was a travel nurse from Yonkers, New York. But in the May 9 season finale, Ty stunned Megan and Melody – and the show’s viewers – when he rejected both women

Ty ended his Farmer Wants a Wife journey still single. But what has he been up to since the show ended?

Is Ty from ‘Farmer Wants a Wife’ dating anyone?

Ty didn’t find the woman of his dreams on Farmer Wants a Wife. While he stands by his decision to not move forward with either Melody or Megan, he did admit during the May 16 reunion episode that he wished he had used different words when ending things with Megan. She was stunned and hurt when he claimed that their connection was more friendly than romantic.

Since the reunion aired, Ty hasn’t shared any updates on his dating life, though he did reveal that he would have loved if there had been some older women on the show. (Ty’s desire not to have more children is one reason he ended things with Megan.) It’s not known if Ty is dating anyone new or still looking for that special someone. But he does seem to be spending quality time with the most important person in his life – his daughter Lennon. One of his recent Instagram posts is a video of her interacting with a newborn calf.

Ty didn’t find love on Farmer Wants a Wife. But he doesn’t have any regrets about signing up for the show, he said on the May 14 episode of the Discover Ag podcast.

“I would,” Ty said when asked if he’d do the show again if given the chance. “Because the reason I did it in the first place was just for that hope really to find somebody.”

Ty also admitted that some aspects of the show were “kind of tough” to deal with, especially as he dealt with backlash from viewers who were disappointed with his decision in the finale. Going into that day of filming, Melody knew that Ty wouldn’t be picking her, he said. But Megan wasn’t prepared for rejection, he admitted.

“I wish I had let Megan know … It was brutal. It was so difficult,” he said.

Ty also revealed that producers encouraged him to say yes to Megan despite his reservations. But he knew that was not the right choice.

“I can’t pursue something knowing that we’re not 100% there,” he said.

He was also mindful of the effect his choice would have on his daughter. Megan had earned Lennon’s seal of approval, and Ty didn’t want to further encourage their relationship knowing that things would ultimately not work out.

“I can’t let them form a bond and then break that apart,” he said.
