Farrah Abraham’s Daughter, Sophia, Is Finally Hanging Out With Children Her Own Age
We’ve been watching Teen Mom for years, and we can’t forget when Farrah Abraham was one of the main stars of the show. While she began her time on reality TV with MTV’s 16 and Pregnant, she was most memorable for her screentime on Teen Mom OG. Unfortunately, her dramatic attitude and foray into the adult film industry didn’t sit well with MTV, as she’s no longer associated with the show.
That doesn’t mean Farrah has disappeared, however. She and her 10-year-old daughter, Sophia, both have Instagram accounts despite public backlash. And fans have been begging Farrah to let her child act more like a kid and less like an adult for years.
It seems like fans may finally be getting what they wished for. A photo was posted to Sophia’s Instagram account showing her hanging out with some kids her own age. Here’s what happened.

Farrah’s always been candid with her followers regarding her lifestyle, her parenting tactics, and what she’s up to with her daughter. The reality star frequently posts photos of all the lavish vacations and events she and Sophia attend together. As for how the 10-year-old is able to jet-set across the world, it’s all because Farrah insists on homeschooling her daughter.
“Sophia started school. She’s doing homeschooling, so she gets to come to more events and that’s awesome,” Farrah told In Touch Weekly in 2018. “It’s focusing more on her studies, traveling the world if she wants to do that while she is going to school.”
Not only does Farrah homeschool Sophia so the child can have more life experiences, but she also noted that she worries about jealousy from other kids. “I am truthfully like, ‘Oh my God, she is going to experience more jealousy than I ever encountered when she’s in high school,'” The Hollywood Gossip notes Farrah said.
Farrah’s critics believe she should let Sophia hang out with more children her own age
Sophia may get to see parts of the world other kids have never ventured, but for her own development, Farrah’s followers are concerned that Sophia doesn’t spend enough time with kids her age.
Back in November 2018, Farrah posted plenty of photos of her Maldives vacation she took with Sophia. While it looked like a relaxing, fun time for the duo, Farrah’s followers took to the comments to remind Farrah Sophia needs to socialize with other children.
“I think u need to let Sophia have her own life and u get ur own friends and let her be a kid she dont need to be around what u are doing,” one follower commented.
Farrah doesn’t see anything wrong with her parenting, though. “I think I had, like, an epiphany this year that I actually am a really good mom. And I think it’s so important for parents to just give themselves a pat on the back,” Farrah told The Blast when Sophia turned 10.
It looks like Sophia is finally spending time with other kids
Sophia’s Instagram is full of modeling shoots and videos from her life, but it rarely features other kids. Oddly enough, on Dec. 30, Farrah posted a photo to Sophia’s Instagram showing her with her cousins of the same age. “My best cousins on break,” the caption stated.
It looks like these cousins are from Sophia’s father’s side. Derek Underwood, Sophia’s dad, died before she was born, and Farrah posts memorials of him from time to time on her social media.
Sophia’s Instagram isn’t always full of nice comments, but her followers seem to love this photo of her with her cousins, too.
“Finally with people her own age!” one follower exclaimed.
“Enjoy your vacation girls…have fun, be good and enjoy the new year,” another added.
Even though the other two kids in the picture are family, it’s great to see Sophia enjoying her time with them. We hope to see more content like this in the future.
