‘FBI: International’: 2 New Actors Added to the Cast
The FBI: International cast continues to grow. Two additional cast members were added to the team. Here’s what Showbiz Cheat Sheet knows about the TV show’s latest additions.
When does ‘FBI: International’ premiere?
FBI: International Season 1 is set to premiere Tuesday, September 21, at 10:00 p.m. Eastern Time on CBS. Instead of starting with a pilot, the show received a straight-to-series order. FBI Season 4, starring Missy Peregrym and Zeeko Zaki, airs the same night at 8:00 p.m. Eastern Time. FBI: Most Wanted Season 3, starring Julian McMahon, airs at 9:00 p.m. Eastern Time. The franchise will kick off the start of the fall season with a three-hour crossover event on September 21.
The FBI: International team, which has headquarters in Budapest, travels around the world to monitor threats against American citizens, according to Deadline. They are not allowed to use guns, so the team uses “intelligence, quick thinking and pure brawn” to protect the United States, reports the publication.
“CBS has been a great creative partner, and they understand the value of the growing FBI brand,” said series creator Dick Wolf, according to Deadline. “The showrunners, writers, producers, cast, crew and everyone on our team have delivered exciting and creative shows that clearly resonate with viewers. FBI: International offers us the opportunity to expand with a powerful new drama.”
Here are the two new FBI: International cast members:
Christiane Paul
Christiane Paul will play a Europol agent. One of Paul’s early roles was in the 1992 film Deutschfieber. In 2016, she appeared in the television mini-series Paranoid, in which she played the character Linda Felber for eight episodes. In 2018, Paul played Mira in Counterpart for nine episodes until the series ended in 2019. Some of her other acting roles include appearances in Playing God, Parlement, and Holiday Secrets.
Carter Redwood
Carter Redwood will play a member of the FBI Fly Team. One of Redwood’s early roles was in the 2012 movie Mafia. In 2013, he starred in Redwood Time for 10 episodes. Some of Redwood’s other acting roles include appearances in Madam Secretary, Blue Bloods, The Long Road Home, and 5th Ward.
Changes to the ‘FBI’ and ‘Law & Order’ franchises
Nathaniel Arcand will not return for FBI: Most Wanted Season 3. New cast member Alexa Davalos will join this season. She will play an FBI agent on Jess LaCroix’s (Julian McMahon) team. As part of the Fugitive Task Force, she’s a member of a unit that goes after criminals on the FBI’s Most Wanted list.
There have also been changes for other shows in Dick Wolf’s franchises. A third series was supposed to be included in the Thursday night Law & Order lineup titled Law & Order: For the Defense, however, plans changed at the last minute. The show initially received a straight-to-series order, but NBC decided not to move forward with the show, reports Deadline. Instead, Blacklist, starring James Spader, will move into this slot. The show used to air on Fridays, but this fall it will air on Thursday nights.
