‘Flip or Flop’ Show Was ‘Too Intimate’ for Christina Haack and Tarek El Moussa, Report
Christina Haack and Tarek El Moussa rose to fame after starring on Flip or Flop, an HGTV series revolving around the couple flipping houses. The stars started off the show as a married couple but in 2016 divorced. However, despite their separation, the former couple continued filming the show but recently confirmed the series would end after season 10. Now an insider is giving details into the interactions between the television personalities.
How were Christina Haack and Tarek El Moussa on the set of their HGTV show?
Haack and El Moussa made Flip or Flop a massive hit for HGTV. The chemistry they both had on camera was undeniable and the stars quickly clicked with fans. However, things changed when the pair divorced and things started to become awkward. Although the duo still filmed the show together, their scenes were limited to work around the renovation of the properties. Haack and El Moussa not only were working together on their TV show but co-parenting their two kids.
“Tarek and Christina are generally cordial. They’re co-parenting and nothing gets in the way of that. The show was just too intimate of a setting at this point and it was time to close that chapter,” a source told People.
Although the source says that the interaction between Haack and El Moussa was cordial, a report over the summer of 2021 claimed there was an incident between them. El Moussa allegedly went on a verbal tirade against his ex-wife, making things tense on the set. Coincidentally, the show is wrapping up after that alleged event.

“From the bottom of my heart, I want to thank each and every one of you who have watched the show throughout the years. I am beyond grateful for the support,” Haack posted on Instagram. “I also want to thank the amazing crew who worked so hard to make this show possible.”
El Moussa shared all the things he lived through while filming the HGTV show adding, “You guys have been with us through it all—you watched me beat cancer, you’ve watched the babies grow up into the most amazing little humans, and everything in between but I’m not going anywhere and I can promise that you are going to love what comes next!”

Days prior to announcing the end of Flip or Flop, HGTV announced that they had extended Haack and El Moussa’s deals at the network. Christina on the Coast would premiere in the latter part of 2022 and Flipping 101 with El Moussa will see the light of day at the beginning of 2023.
