Food Network Star Guy Fieri Gets a New Tattoo and Fans Say It’s ‘off the Hook’
Guy Fieri is one of the popular stars on the Food Network. The famous cook hosts a variety of shows on the cable channel like Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives, and Guy’s Grocery Games. Fieri has a new show on the discovery+ streaming platform and in a recent episode, he got a tattoo. The official Food Network Instagram account shared the moment and some fans said it was “off the hook.”
Guy Fieri gets a tattoo
With the launch of the discovery+ streaming platform, there have been more shows from people’s favorite stars on Food Network and HGTV. Fieri stars in a new reality series called Guy! Hawaiian Style where he explores the islands with his family. During one of the episodes, Fieri gets a tattoo and it was all documented for the cameras.
“One of the things I’ve always wanted is a traditional Polynesian hand-tapped tattoo,” he says in the clip shared.
Fieri explains that “it’s a sacred cultural art” and he doesn’t get to choose the design of the tattoo. Fans might’ve asked how the tattoo artist comes up with what to do and Fieri explained that they have a conversation beforehand to find what symbols with the most meaning.
The Food Network star started talking about his sister and recalled what he told her the last time she saw her before she died.
“Morgan, I got Jules. I will take care of him like I take care of my kids. He is my son, I got this,” Fieri shared bringing tears to his eyes.
Fieri and his two sons — Hunter and Jules — got matching tattoos, connecting them all together.
Fans are touched by the story of the tattoos
After watching the preview clip for Guy! Hawaiian Style, it wasn’t long before fans had reactions to the touching story behind the matching tattoos. Many of Fieri’s fans express they were on the borderline of tears or actually crying after the clip.
“Wow. What a moving and beautiful experience,” a fan replied.
“Now that, was OFF THE HOOK!” a follower said using Fieri’s catchphrase.
“So beautiful Guy. Family is the most important,” an Instagram user added.
“Oh my goodness, this is so awesome!! Brought tears to my eyes hearing you talk about your sister and how you love her son. You are an amazing man…and I love the tattoos!!” another fan mentioned.
“Oh, I cried. So sweet and heart-warming,” another follower said.
“Absolutely!!! To be able to experience a tradition that has been going for centuries, I’m sure was an amazing feeling!!!” another Instagram user noted.

Fieri is one of the most recognizable faces on Food Network. His show, Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives has been running since 2007. The show has 33 seasons and 419 episodes produced since its debut. In this series, Fieri travels across the country checking out some of the best spots to eat. The show originally was a one-off special that ended up turning into one of the longest-running shows on the network.
Another hit show Fieri has on the network is called Guy’s Grocery Games where four chefs compete cooking food with ingredients found inside the store. This show premiered in 2013 and has had 27 seasons with over 250 episodes produced.
