How to make ‘Valerie’s Home Cooking’ Tater Tot Nachos recipe?

Who doesn’t love cheese and tater tots? Bertinelli made the perfect recipe on Valerie’s Home Cooking that is easy to prepare. The Food Network website says that in 35 minutes you would be able to enjoy this yummy snack that only takes 15 minutes to prepare.

The first step is to bake the pound of tater tots until they are very crispy. As the tots bake, you can combine the 1/4 cup of half-and-half, the 1 cup of cheese, and the 1 1/2 teaspoons of cornstarch. While whisking at all times, this will need to be cooked over medium heat until it is all melted and smooth for about 3 to 4 minutes. Once it’s ready, you can stir in the pico de gallo.

Once the tots are finished baking, the recipe calls to preheat the broiler to high. This is when you can spoon the cheese sauce over the taters and top it all off with the remaining Mexican cheese blend. Once set, sprinkle cilantro over the tots and add sour cream.
