Former ‘Bachelor in Paradise’ Stars Raven Gates and Adam Gottschalk Welcome Baby Boy
Bachelor Nation gained a brand new member this week! Former Bachelor in Paradise stars Raven Gates and Adam Gottschalk welcomed a baby boy in the early morning hours of Jan. 18. Adam announced his son’s birth on his Instagram Stories and let everyone know Raven and baby were both doing fine. Here’s everything we know.
‘Bachelor in Paradise’ couple Raven Gates and Adam Gottschalk had a healthy baby boy in January of 2022
In July of 2021, Raven told People, “It’s so exciting. We found out right after the wedding. I’ve wanted to be a mom for a long time. And I always imagined creating a family with someone I love so much. And expanding my love with Adam into a human, I can’t even imagine!”
Raven shared some of her pregnancy journey with her social media followers by posting images of herself and her baby bump on Instagram. Plus, Instagram was the social media of choice for Adam to announce the little man’s arrival. Early on Jan. 18, 2022, he posted on his Instagram Story, “Little man made it. Had emergency C-section after pushing for about an hour and a half. Mom and baby are doing very well.”
Adam also posted that their son arrived at 3:33 A.M. and weighed 8lbs. 6oz.
Raven Gates and Adam Gottschalk met on ‘Bachelor in Paradise’ in 2017
Adam initially appeared on The Bachelorette Season 13 to compete for Rachel Lindsay’s heart. However, he was sent home in week seven. On the other hand, Raven made it to the final two when she appeared on Nick Viall’s season of The Bachelor.
Both Raven and Adam appeared in Bachelor in Paradise Season 4, where they won, along with Taylor Nolan and Derek Peth. However, this particular Bachelor in Paradise season is most well-known for the misconduct allegations between Corinne Olympios and DeMario Jackson. Regardless, Raven and Adam left the show as a couple, but not engaged,
Adam purposely chose not to propose in the finals of Bachelor in Paradise because the two lived in different cities at the time. He wanted their relationship to grow more before he popped the big question.
At the time, Raven told Us Weekly, “He promised me a really big ring!” and added that they never felt any pressure from the producers to get engaged in the finale.
The couple planned their wedding four different times
When the coronavirus hit the United States, life came to a screeching halt, and that included the plans for Raven and Adam’s wedding.
In August of 2020, Raven explained to Us Weekly, “I’ve replanned the wedding three times now. I told Adam by December of this year, if there is no end in sight, we’re just going to elope and get married by ourselves. In our house. And if there is a light at the end of the tunnel by December, then we’ll schedule this wedding for the fourth time.”
The couple officially walked down the aisle in April of 2021. Not long after the wedding, Raven announced to the world she was expecting.
