Nick Viall Says Clayton Echard’s ‘Bachelor’ Finale Will Be ‘the Most Talked About Season Finale Ever’
To say this season of The Bachelor with Clayton Echard has been a wild ride is an understatement. From Shanae Ankney mocking fellow contestant Elizabeth Corrigan’s ADHD diagnosis to Clayton and Susie Evans blowup during their Fantasy Suite date, drama appeared at every turn. Now, former Bachelor Nick Viall has given fans a hint at what’s to come in the finale.

Fans were shocked at the end of the March 8, 2022 episode of ‘The Bachelor’ when Susie Evans abruptly left her Fantasy Suite date with Clayton Echard
The Bachelor previews hinted at the massive impact of Clayton’s confession to his final three ladies throughout the season. However, fans didn’t expect the argument between Clayton and Susie to end the way it did. Clayton told Susie he loved her, but Susie’s response surprised the former football player.
“I adore you. I think you’re incredible, but there are things – and knowing there’s an engagement – there are things I feel like I can’t compromise. Tonight, I feel uncomfortable. I feel like I don’t even want to have this conversation, but I feel like I do need to tell you where I’m at, and my expectations that I’m not willing to let go of in this. I know you just told me you feel like you’re in love with me, but do you feel that way with someone else? Have you slept with another woman? Those are things I feel like would be impossible for me to move forward with an engagement. If I’m sharing your love with somebody else I don’t think I would be comfortable,” Susie explained.
Susie abandoned the date midway through dinner when she learned Clayton had slept with Gabby Windey and Rachel Recchia. Deciding she couldn’t compromise her values, Susie went back to her room.
Clayton admits he could have handled his response to Susie’s concerns much differently. The Missouri native was already bracing for backlash from fans due to his actions in the Fantasy Suite episodes. This included former Bachelor Nick Viall, who tweeted, “Susie tried to express her feelings while trying to empathize with Clayton’s POV. Clayton expressed his feelings to Susie by being a d***.”

Nick understands a thing or two about how The Bachelor works, but even he’s shocked at how all the drama unfolds in this season’s finale.
In a video posted on Twitter, Nick said, “I just watched The Bachelor finale. it is nuts, insane. Do you remember the debacle of Ari’s season? Or Colton’s fence jump? Or the Peter craziness? Child’s play compared to what I just witnessed. Like as soon as it starts it’s just nuts. Moment after moment, most of the time I was just shaking my head in disbelief. Then there’s some iconic moments. Iconic moments. I just felt like you should know. It’ll be the most talked about finale ever.”

The drama continues in Iceland as Clayton makes his final decision. Based on previews, plenty of tears are shed by everyone involved. The Bachelor begins tonight at 8:00 p.m. ET on ABC. The season concludes with “After the Final Rose,” which will air tomorrow, March 15, 2022.
