Freshly Single Rumer Willis Gives Goddess Vibes on Her Glamorous Italian Getaway
Rumer Willis is single and free as a bird! On August 22, the 36-year-old shared that she and her partner, Derek Richard Thomas, were no longer together. The actor and musician/producer have been coparenting their young daughter, Louetta Isley Thomas, since their breakup. Now, Willis is ready to return to the spotlight as evidenced by her radiant look at the 2024 amfAR Gala.
Rumer Willis and Derek Richard Thomas’s relationship began as a whirlwind romance. The two reportedly met through mutual friends in the LA music scene, where Thomas is known for his rock and roll band Vista Kicks. In early 2022, they were first seen together publicly. Soon, the pair became inseparable. They frequently appeared together at events and shared their love on social media. After just over a year together, in April 2023, the couple welcomed their daughter.
Willis often speaks about the joy of being a mother. Thomas seemed equally thrilled, sharing sweet moments of their growing family. Lou made Rumer’s parents, Bruce Willis and Demi Moore, grandparents for the first time. Then, on August 22, Rumer shared her new singleness on her Instagram stories. The wrote, “I am single momming it and coparenting. I’m so grateful for Lou. She is the best thing in my life, and I’m forever grateful I was able to have the time in that relationship for her to come into my life.”
With Lou now nearly a year and a half, Rumer was ready for a mom’s night out. The Hostage actor flew to Venice, Italy, to attend the 2024 amfAR Gala on Sunday, September 1. The annual fundraiser supports amfAR, the nonprofit dedicated to AIDS research, HIV prevention, treatment education, and advocacy. Rumer attended the star-studded party sans date.
The oldest daughter of Bruce and Demi socialized with the likes of Eva Longoria, Antonio Banderas, Richard Gere, Kelly Rowland, and Kate Beckinsale. Rumer wore a stunning Georges Chakra gown from the Lebanese fashion designer’s fall/winter 2024/2025 collection. The draped bronze dress cinched her waist with a fitted corset and complemented the Sorority Row actor’s platinum locks. A flowing cape accented the rich brown fabric and Rumer’s smokey eye makeup.
Rumer wasn’t simply attending the amfAR Gala; the Once Upon A Time In Hollywood actor performed during the evening’s ceremonies. Rumer beautifully sang two songs, The Jackson 5’s “I Want You Back” and Adele’s “I Drink Wine,” for the A-list audience. Kelly Rowland took over for the main act, performing several of her hits, including “Dilemma” and “Say My Name.”
